Rear bumber end caps

Could use some advice on cheapest way to do this. Both bumper ends are beat up. Besides that the runner is pretty prestine. I’m not really worried about the rear door dent. I was thinking just buying two new end caps on rock auto that come pre primed and spraying them myself? Any alternatives? It would be ideal for me to find a whole rear bumper same color silver. Anyways, could use all the help I can get

 

What y’all think? I could by some touch up paint same color code and buy the aerosol spray can?

 

I would. I was going to do similar...then someone rear ended me and I got an ENTIRE rear bumper AND a hatch from their insurance!

 

I’d see what painting would cost at a shop first. Even a cheap fly-by-night shop might do better at painting than I could do myself? If price is outrageous, do it yourself. Worth a shot just to look into it maybe.

 

You might as well get the center bumper piece too. It is prone to rusting out. And that way you will be good for another 20+years. Personally I got a replacement OEM from Phoenix I think. In perfect shape and I sprayed Rust-Oleum on the inside of them...

 

Ive done both, about $100 to prime n powdercoat them and also sanded /rattle canned /primed and color matched for less. Use adhesion promoter -Either way, less expensive is DIY

like said above get the center piece and new hardware while you are at it.
