:hattip:thanks. This location for the phone isn’t for everyone, I had this setup on my 2014 Tacoma and liked it.

Here’s a thread with info on the parts for the mount. A couple of pictures of the 4Runner mod in progress:

Waxed it and added the rest of the OEM Black out over-lays to the side Badges.

Installed the remote start kit I bought on Cyber Monday. It was pretty straight forward and easy to do. I am sure if I've done a bunch of these like the dude in the video has I could do it in 15 minutes, but it took a good hour or so. The biggest pain in the ass was getting the steering column back on. Most of all it works and it even provoked a little satisfaction smile when it fired up. Good job me.

Not a 5th gen... But it is a Second Gen..... Dodge... Diesel..... And someday, if the 4Runners steering wheel falls apart like my trucks did I will do the same thing to it!!!! Actually feels pretty good too.

My second gen Dodge is tore up! This is a great option. I have the paracord and big hands. This is brilliant! Any video of pattern used? Here is a mini baseball bat light I wrapped. It is very easy to grab now!

Halagens back in now. Phillips hid, worst bulb ever! Just got back from up North and lights actually have me a headache! Both sides have a dark spot...goes bright, big dark hole then lights again. Pattern follows everywhere so it's sure not the road.

And I thought HIDs fared better than LEDs. I had the XD Pro LEDs and ended up going to halogen H9s

Last 4runner I had the XD 5k hid and they were great. Watched you tube videos showing this Phillips bulb as hands down best bulb ever.
Thinking back those videos were all by retrofit source. When the package showed up from Xenon Depot the box says exclusive bulb and only they carry it. Xenon and retrofit are one and the same company as they merged. Dang bulbs were $130 buck premium over regular hid. Guy in the other forum said his have the spotty shade and bright spots.
Just drove to the store and back and although not as bright, much better!

It is a fun area back there. There are ton of side trails and what not. The more South you go in 4 Mile the deeper the snow(right now).

Dropped it off at the dealership... Apparently last week when i got the service done they stripped the bolt on the oil filter canister and its been leaking this whole time. Just noticed it last night. They didnt have any of the bolts in stock, which i find hard to believe... So they had to give me a rental car.... A 2019 CHevy equinox. That i really dont love....

I wanted to do my own services, but the stealership makes that a pain if you want to keep your warranty. They told me id need to keep all receipts, a journal, take pictures etc, and then they could still say i did it wrong if a warranty problem came up that normally results from no/wrong oil... Decided to just let them do it... Mistake apparently.

That’s such a crock of lies your not voiding your warranty by doing your own oil changes, I hope that you don’t take it back for any more oil changes ....

As long as you can prove that you did it, at the right interval, with the right oil and filter, then you are correct, you won't void anything... But if you can't prove it... You may be in trouble.

I'm in college for Auto tech and performance. I'm more capable of changing my own oil than 99.9% of the teenagers in the quick lube Toyota line... I have my own garage at home... Plenty of tools... But keeping receipts is not something I excel at... Keeping logs/journals either...

I think I'll take the chance from now on. Just keep all receipts in the garage and take pictures of my odometer when I do it. Hopefully it won't ever be an issue.

Could simply buy your filter at the dealer and there is a record, just make sure they put it under your name when you buy it. I also keep a log of all mods and maintenance performed which is very easy to do.

Sounds like you might wanna read the fine print of the Toyota warranty. If you can't prove you did the preventive maintenance they have the right to not warranty a fault that could of been caused by lack of or wrong oil or filters used. Read the warranty book.

This is a screenshot from @PVT Pablo in reference to superchargers.
Federal law trumps Toyota. I can only imagine that the same goes for oil changes. I am not a lawyer but I have never heard of any warranty work being denied because of "home" oil changes. That is absurd. They could take some of the oil & have it analyzed to see what is in it.
    Screenshot_20191210-190439_Chrome.jpg
My snowplow didn't effect ANY warranty on my Ford F-250 when I bought it. I asked multiple people! That was a big one.
