Salt water fishing is just so much more fun tho! At least for us inland guys! I use to live in Florida and did my share of fresh and salt water fishing down there. Now, ever time we go down there me snd my boys have gotta salt water fish. The wifey loves it too. She's a fishin fool!

Yes! The only appeal to freshwater down there for me is the real possibility of 10# bass. Also, there are no blue catfish in Wisconsin:(

I'm on my way to the German Christmas market in Oconomowoc, WI with my brother and his wife. I'm looking forward to getting a giant beer in these meat-hooks.:drunk:

I do more freshwater fishing... But also saltwater fish a lot as well. Before I started school again I was fishing 2-4 times every week. Just easier to throw a kayak in the creek 10 miles from the house than load the boat and drive an hour.

Not many blues where I live, we caught those in Georgia. Lake Oconee.

Watching the Gators whoop the Seminoles with family and friends right now.. drinking some crown and ginger.

It's my Saturday night, so I'm cooking homemade stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, and enjoying a glass of Malbec red wine.

Girlfriend is coming over in a bit after she gets done putting to bed a plane (corporate aviation) so we'll have a nice little dinner.

I live off of the cheap Bota Box Redvolution and Malbec blends.

Used to love beer, but started the keto thing and only have it occasionally. Loading up on massive carbs tonight, so should have treated myself to a big glass of Irish Death, doh!

When i do drink wine, i like the Alamos malbec quite a bit. Malbec and Cabs are about the only wines i bother drinking. I only drink wine occasionally. The wife likes wine more than me... She is more of a pinot noir drinker but i dont think there is any she wont drink LOL

So what types of drinks do people prefer?

With beer, Im not much for IPAs.... I like Yuengling, lager, light, black and tan... Havent had a yuengling yet that i didnt like. I like Modelo as well quite a bit, and when i cant get those ill settle for a michelob ultra.

For whiskey/bourbon i enjoy quite a few.... Crown, george dickel, makers mark, knob creek, jack, southern comfort... Not very picky LOL but im not a big fan of the stronger tasting scotches. I drink whiskey straight or with pepsi or coke.... though lately i been enjoying crown with ginger ale. My instructor in auto school put me on that, didnt think id like it but surprisingly its pretty good.

Mixed drinks i can drink some mojitos.... At bahama breeze restaurant they have a mango jalapeno mojito i love. I tell them to take out the mango and add as many fresh jalapenos as they can, its nice and spicy and not too sweet then.

    Cheers, fellow Toyota people!

I'm having some rum to relax after a really long week.

I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend!

    Nice!

Is that brewery local for you? I don't think I've heard of them.

I like pale ales. They're great in warm weather!

Yes, they brew this in San Francisco which is about an hour north of me.

This is the first beer I've had from them and it's well worth trying a second.

Pale Ales are my favorite. I'll drink them anytime of year, although it really doesn't get cold here when compared to the rest of the country.

I would, too! I just remembered reading somewhere that pale ale is a good beer for warm weather. I don't think there's any wrong time of year to drink them, though.

On the other hand, there are some beers that seem to go well with cooler weather. I rarely drink Guinness in the summer. But, in the fall, it really seems to hit the spot.

Bourbon is my drug of choice: Basil Hayden, Woodford Reserve, or Maker's Mark are my go-to's most of the time. I love a nice Manhattan especially in the cooler months (I had one with Sazerac Rye earlier and it was delicious!)

    Well I scored today!

Was at the coffee shop and saw a guy with an Alvarado St Brewing sweatshirt on (my favorite brewery). Asked him if he worked for them and he did, as a sales rep. I told him I thought they did an excellent job and really enjoyed all their offerings. He said he had some extra beer in the car and that I could have some. Got a bunch of free beer from my favorite brewery!

The Mai Tai IPA and the Monterey Lager are awesome! Haven't tried the other two yet, as they are new releases.

Nice! I have a buddy here in Wisconsin who has relatives bring him Yuengling whenever they visit. I've stolen a few from him, and usually have a handful while I'm down in Florida. Good beer!

Haha! It's a strange term, and I hadn't really heard anyone say that until my Dad made a similar comment about his 70th. Coincidentally, his and my Mom's birthdays both fall within 3 days of mine.
