There was a thread like this on a fishing forum I used to frequent. I thought I'd see how it goes here.

This is a thread for anyone who's having a drink at home to stop in and say hi. Let us know what you're drinking and what else you're up to. BS welcome!

    I'll start:

    Cheers, everyone!

I'm having a Scotch and a Lakefront Brewery Proper Porter while I'm relaxing and watching TV. I'm just winding down from work and looking forward to some family time tomorrow.

I am currently having a Moscow Mule. It is a very heavy drink (lots of sugar) so after my second I shall switch to Blue Moon.
It has been a long few days of snow & more is coming. We had to go to the store in case of weather.
I hope we get time to make a proper meal tomorrow. All travel plans are canceled due to weather/work.

I never heard of these until a few years back. My brother makes them at family gatherings. They're delicious! And deceptively strong.

Hopefully the weather doesn't interfere with your day too much tomorrow:)

6:30 & still light outside! It gets dark here @ 5PM now. Doesn't help with mental health when it is gray outside every day. Maybe that is why I indulge more in the winter cold & dark. Let's drink. Nope.
    Summer comes; party time! LMAO

Love beer. Spent last couple of years trying it all. Keep it saved for the special occasions these days. Good beers are a good way to get fat real quick!

Mostly drink vodka / soda these days.

Hey, I resemble that remark! I've put on a solid 30# since I quit smoking. I don't think a handful of beers on the weekend is the culprit, though.

It's definitely a little depressing when it's dark when you drive to work, and when you leave work! I cope by driving to Florida every winter:D this year, I think I'm heading down in January:kona:

I’m a drinker, I love beer way too much!! I like all beer in any form, with food ir without. It just tastes amazing. I also like Scotch straight on the rocks, Glenmorangie is one of my Favorites. Hell, I like about any alcohol lol. I’ve been known to have a bottle of whiskey in one hand chasing it with a coke in the other. I never drink in the house, EVER! My drinking is when I’m out working in my shop or camping, fishing etc.
haven’t been able to drink much lately with the amount of pain meds I’m on. Gotta get off these things soon but not sure if I’ll be able to walk without them. I’ve been craving a beer bad and tomorrow will be the first thanksgiving in years I won’t be sharing a few beers with my father-in-law.

the wife and I were at the grocery store earlier getting food and she bought a bottle of vodka and bloody mary mix, all I could think about was how good some rum and eggnog sounded lol. And THEN I had to walk down the beer isle. I’m pretty sure I felt a tear role down my beard. Lol

I hope you can get your pain figured out soon! Have a great Thanksgiving!

I'm a huge fan of Glenlivet. I've tried many kinds of Scotch and always come back.

Thanks man! Seeing a specialist now and they know what the problem is but nothing has helped so far. Probably gonna have to have surgery.

but anyways enough about that. Happy Thanksgiving!

Well, I hope the surgery does the trick.

I have my share of aches and pains, but nothing I would call chronic, yet. I'm getting to the age where all of the stupid shit I did as a kid is coming back to bite me in the ass:eek:

Go to bed! Your family doesn't need a drunken accident for the holiday.
I would love to join you in the pits; but family first.

    Haha! Sorry.

In my 20's I probably would have been up late as well.

At 40 (41 tomorrow, actually), I rarely make it past 9 or 10, unless I'm fishing, driving, or doing something where I'm on my feet.:D

I'm a beer guy. Worked at a brewery for years.

Will be drinking this tonight. A bit obscure, but it's a collaboration between 2 fantastic Breweries, Humble Sea (Santa Cruz) and Pizza Port (San Diego).

    Really good, BTW.

I'll have to look for it. One of my local beer stores has a large variety of single beers from all over. I'm always buying different odd balls to try out.

Not sure how far distribution on this one reaches. Humble Sea definitely wouldn't be out that far yet. Pizza Port distribution may reach out there, so there is a chance you could see it.

Whatever you do, make sure to buy it cold. Never buy a hoppy beer that's been sitting on a warm shelf. It speeds up oxidation of the beer and makes it taste stale (like cardboard).

I like scotch, but I also like rum, brandy, etc.

Back when I was in a band, we played a show in northern Wisconsin. One of the guys from the other band had some actual moonshine that he made, or someone he knew made. It was delicious!

In WI, brandy old fashions are a tradition. They're great when made properly. Most other states a whiskey old fashion would be more common. I highly recommend trying one sometime at a place with skilled bartenders.

    Thanks, guys!

My buddies are trying to get me to go out tomorrow night. I guess I'll see if I'm grown up enough to not over-indulgeo_O
