Idle issue

I noticed that my idle whether warm or cold rapidly goes up down up down a few hundred rpm at a time, also have a code 71 for the egr but don’t think that is responsible since it was there way before this problem, and when the temp drops below 30 the runner takes a decent amount of time to start. Are these connected in any way?

 

Mine goes up and down too. Once warmed up it’s totally goood at 9k rpm idle... yours likely stabilizes too ...after a few minutes?

 

Sounds like it could be a vacuum leak. I would also check that all of the intake tubing is in good shape and secure. We had a similar issue once with a Corolla, and it turned out that a piece of intake tubing had split.

Thanks, I’m going to do a more in depth look this week and clean out the tb and iacv to see if that helps. I’ll keep it posted

 

So I cleaned the tb and checked for vacuum leaks and couldn’t find any. Still having the issue. Don’t want to break down and bring it to a mechanic
