Indeed the prices on those lights he sells are crazy and I’d definitely not buy them LOL I’d rather buy cheap as long as they work and put out better light than the stock bulbs I’m happy which I put in lasfit led bulbs in my low and high beams and love them this is a shot at night on the highway, actually enjoy driving at night now lol that I can see what’s in front of me... do post up on how the new bulbs work ..9FFC97BD-1AC4-4586-94FE-1623FC2AD1A5.jpg

I had the XD LED Pro 'bulbs' for a while. The Philips H9 bulbs put out way more light.

Got the lights today... To mod the low beams I used a razor blade inside the connector and a Dremel grinding bit on the metal tab. Easy enough. After that I installed all 4 bulbs and then drank a beer to celebrate.

Now my honest review goes like this....

As far as the low beams go I honestly can't tell any difference at all... I had one old and one new on each side and couldn't see a difference... No difference in distance, brightness... Maybe a very small difference in color but nothing major. My wife couldn't tell either... I was hoping it was a whiter light but that's on me for not actually reading ANYTHING LOL

As far as the fog lights go there is a definite difference. I love the color. And it's certainly brighter. But the light isn't focused at all. It spreads everywhere. Up in the trees, down on the road, out in the ditches. Everywhere. Wife and I went on a night ride through the woods and noticed just how much the fog light travelled. It was easy to tell the difference between the fog lights light and the headlights because of the color.

I like how far the light travels, I like the color too. But in actual fog im not sure how well they will work as the light will be reflecting off the fog im sure. The idea of fog lights normally is to shine light under the fog... Or so I thought. I can't say yet because I haven't tested these in actual fog but I'm guessing the spray of light will be too all over to really light up under the fog...

Anyways... I didn't revert to stock. No reason as the headlights seem the same to me... But I'll still be looking for lights. I really want my headlights and fog lights to be the same color, and want that color to be white. Or whitish.

Picture is with all 4 new bulbs on. Just showing the color difference....

Man no worries at all, im likely just expecting too much without spending enough LOL

Im thinking maybe i will try out the philips h9 X-tremeVision bulbs, they are supposed to be a brighter setup. Though reviews make it sound like they dont last very long. So ill keep a set of backup bulbs in the 4runner just in case they go out.

We get quite a bit of fog here early in the morning so i will see how they work out in the morning. These LEDs definitely brighten everything up right up close, but it doesnt seem to project that light straight out in front of you, more so it goes everywhere. Maybe thats the idea for some people ?

Yessir... Well this place is actually considered in east bronson, but close enough LOL There's some really good spots back in these woods. When i want to just go do some easy cruising i go down the goethe state forest line, then normally end up at one of the pits to get dirty.

The first ones are the worst!

I bought mine in January and was being very careful with it. In May I took an old logging road that kept getting worse and worse until I got to a section so overgrown that I had branches consistently scraping along BOTH sides of the truck:annoyed: I was literally nauseous, but turning back wasn't really an option. Luckily, the truck still looks good from 20' away! Most of it will buff out.

If you want to go offroad and minimize the risk of pinstripes, a good ceramic coating will help a lot. I saw first-hand the would-be scratches magically disappear from a Tacoma after a day of trail riding in northern Wisconsin. I was so impressed that I intend to get mine done this coming spring.

Didn't work on our 5th Gen but ended up hosting a mini-mod day at my house. Worked on fixing a tire carrier that broke on a friends 2nd gen Tacoma. The pipe ripped (thin wall tubing holding a tire on the swing out, bad design). We repaired the broken pipe, then sleeved the whole thing with .120 wall tubing and gusseted the crap out of it. Installed 885's and Bilstein 5100's on a 3rd Gen Tacoma. Then installed a winch on a different 3rd Gen Tacoma. Busy day! Glad the wife is understanding having 10 people at the house. Fired up the smoker and took care of some business!!!! These are the only pics I got, to busy working! haha

It's the foggy season here, so I ordered some JDM A-Star 2400 lumen H11 amber bulbs for my driving light housings. Driver's side was easy. Passenger side has the extra shield, so I actually had to take the fender liner out.

I usually drive with my driving lights on as they help with side light. I drive 15 miles to work on a rural highway with the occasional deer and fairly heavy traffic, so having my brights on is not an option. I believe my record on a typical commute for not having to turn brights off was just over 1 minute, lol.

But, the stock driving lights were H16s and these are H11s, so not sure if I can get away with leaving them on.

I think you'll appreciate how easily and quickly that remote start installs. The hardest part for me was figuring out how to get the clamshell apart around the steering column without marring it or damaging the clips. It's a little sharp behind the panel above the pedals, so be gentle on yourself. :)

When I lived in Iowa, it would be so cold in the mornings that I would have to get up, then throw on some clothes and start the car, then go take my shower, have coffee, breakfast for an hour and finally the car would be relatively warm enough to function. I'm talking negative 20's with wind chill in the negative 50 range. Insane!
