@MountainMan how did you paint your OEM wheels?

 

Just used Plasti-Dip to see if I liked the look, which I do. In the spring, I'll strip them and re-do them with conventional paint.

The Tungsten color, came out great. What kind of conventional paint would you use? Ive looked into powder coating them in the past but the price was more then new black wheels.

My friends. He has two. A 2018 TX300 2-stroke and the 2017 FC450 4stroke. Both very nice bikes.

 

Bought my first Husky a few months back (2020 TE300i) and I love it. Coming off 2017 KTM 250XC.
What do you ride?

 

He rides French Toast!!!

 

That's a nice bike you have there. As mentioned I ride the French Toast. A Sherco SER300i Factory Edition. I also have a Honda CRF450L for dual sporting fun.

Fancy pants with the Sherco. I think 300cc is a great 4 stroke motor on the bike.

Took a little trip this weekend to 9957'... I made some unintentional mods that I will post to the "What have you done to your 5th Gen". The Runner is shown in the red circle and my 5 year old was the only one to walk the last couple hundred yards... straight up.

 

checked out our very own fjord in our backyard - also known as "indian arm"

this could possibly be the last time i wheel her stock, just ordered kings front co's and slowly piecing parts for my lift.
personally, im glad ive waited and drove her stock on trails to know what i really want and need before jumping in and modding her.
link on the very bottom shows how capable our T4Rs are even without a rear locker. set of good tires + a-trac works wonders.

eventually ill go with an ARB air locker for the rear but not until i regear and run 35s LOL

good fun day with the crew, just a little day trip this time to get that PNW fall locked in before it starts snowing up in the mountains.

hahaha yup, we were up at 4am and at the trailhead by 6am. im sure its less fun to be a passenger than it is to be the driver while you wheel!

 

@meeksodorifto what rack/basket do you have on the factory rails? Looks a good time with good people!

 

def had a good time. nothing like cold beer on a crisp fall day in the mountains, thank you!

rack is a DIY mesh inspired by this post: saved a bit of money by getting my uncle to weld me a mesh + frame rack
bought some u-bolts from home depot
then bought the wind fairing from rhino-rack

all on stock rails/stock crossbars

for sure! agreed that i'd enjoy it on hot floridian day however its also nice to have a great IPA on tote while stoking the fire on a cold ass fall day! its different but same you know? haha

 

Enjoyed the Pinkman/Thermal canyon trails outside of Joshua Tree so much I went back through at sunset (got dark quick!!)

 

@MattMo what rack do you have on your roof?

 

Artec industries 5G Venture Low Profile Roof Rack Kit, mounts to factory roof rack rails and is heavy duty (as in I can stand on it and take pictures) I just put the side rails on top for a trip to AZ last week. I have a RTT so those are going back into the box on the shelf. Visiting family in AZ so hit Bulldog Canyon through the Tonto National Forest's Goldfield Mountains and the Sonoran Desert, incredible views of Superstition Mountains.
NOTE: make sure to get a free permit before going so you have the gate codes...
