I always go back and forth on which cordless power tool company to invest in. Buying different battery packs from each company is a wallet drainer.

I currently own a few Dewalt, Makita, and Ryobi products. Lots of people will call Ryobi crap, but the tools that I have from them are pretty decent, especially for the price point when compared to the other brands. My Dewalt circular saw is really nice too.

Ultimately though, I think I want to invest in a full Makita set-up.

Im not a fan of the looks of mud flaps.... So i remove them from every vehicle they come on... Went and played a bit this morning, lightly, and afterwards had to get all the sand and mud out of the "pockets" behind the rear wheels. Thinking about cutting the mud flaps at the vehicle so they cover these pockets but dont hang below the vehicle.... Unless someone sells a liner that accomplishes this??

A couple pictures playing around at the pit by my house...

Picture showing the pockets im talking about, after i cleaned them out. Wasnt hard to clean them out, just used my hands, but id still rather they not fill up every time i get down in sand and mud.

Screw it. I just cut them... Took about 10 minutes... I could of spent a little more time and sanded the edges... And actually measured and marked out the template instead of just eyeing it... But still doesn't look too bad.

I dont rock crawl... Not many places in florida to rock crawl... I mostly off road in sand and mud. Rock sliders wouldnt help much in these situations... No more than what i have now anyways.... The steps i got are for kicking muddy shoes off, and to prevent shopping cart dings.... Sliders would need to also have kick plate steps to be beneficial to me and im not spending 2-3 times the price on em. I got these on sale for like 249. I like the way they look personally...

BUT if you buy sliders for me i will ROCK them :D:cheers::D

None yet but looking for some
If they had to buy them they would shit a brick if someone threw them on the ground. Hell I keep mine clean because dirt in the motors is just as bad as dropping them. The right tool for the job does make it nice.

Any updates? Also, what offset are the rims? I'm considering 17x9 -12

So yes, I do have a little rubbing on full lock in reverse, not overly worried about it. I don't know the wheel specs, but I'm cheap and kept the grey TRD wheels that were on when I bought it. I'm planning to steal some sidewalk chalk from my son, color the edges of the tires and back in and out of the driveway a few times to see exactly where I'm rubbing. If its doable then I'll heat and mold the plastic liners/mudflaps to solve the rubbing.

You're very likely rubbing the lower edge of the front bumper. Un bolt the liner, push it as far forward as possible, bolt it back in, and trim the lip of the bumper flush with the edge of the liner.

Wild Peak AT3W stock size. Bought an extra TRD wheel during the 40% off sale. Will replace spare and do a 5 tire rotation.

Model and suspension has nothing to do with anything. You can run any tires and wheels you want.

Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.
First oil change. Pennzoil Platinum 0W20 full synth, Toyota oil filter and replaced the housing with a Toyota metal one (thanks Chris!) I like being able to see the filter element and check it for metal or whatever but the process is pretty messy. I put a piece of hose on the plastic drain thingy so that helped a bit. I think next time I'll remove the skid plate instead of just hinging it down. It was kinda in the way.

This weekend's short project, Xenondepot LED high beams/DRLs. Pretty easy install and look great. Took about 30 minutes to install and clean up. First pic is original lights. Also for diehard star wars fans like myself a Thrawn Chimaera decal.

Not true. I don't have to buy Milwaukee tools from some salesman. Also, Milwaukee tools are priced competitively.

If they were the same, there would be some guy in here claiming that he "isn't selling anything", but "we" at Milwaukee tool have proven that our tools are better than every other brand in every possible way, and that anyone who uses other brands is a fool.

Sorry.. Those Amsoil guys just bug me
