Greetings forum, Mark from San Diego, just bought my very first 4Runner. Open to any suggestions regarding accessories, upgrades, or modifications. I'm looking forward to going off road this weekend a bit, though I'm a newbie, so I'll be targeting some pretty modest terrain to get started.

So far, the only accessories I've bought are a nice safe for the console, and 1Up bike rack for my mountain bike.

Welcome aboard!! I have 17 Pro still have it stock except side bars. Trading it in for 2020 Pro army green. If I don’t change my mind.

Thanks Don, I saw the army green just the other day, love it. I have a little a twinge of regret that I didn't wait for the 2020 models, and that green Pro. Oh well, I got a pretty good deal on this 2019 at the dealer, they were willing to sell it to me the day it came in for $2,500 under MSRP - seems late September/October is a good time to buy as they clear out their 2019 inventory.

The only accessory I have so far is a nice safe that bolts into the console - great for valuables and such

Yours is still awesome Mark!! I still do like my white 17 Pro but i will be getting almost what I paid for my Pro with trade in. It is worth it if you got a good deal on your 19. I thought about going with the 19 but I will be getting the 2020 at msrp because I bought my Pro from same place. I believe a lot of dealers will be marking up the army green.

I agree about the mark-up, my dealer guy said the same, and that I'd be paying at least $7,500 more for the 2020 when they arrive. Happy with my purchase ;-)

the safe I bought is called "Lock'er Down" (see picture). Fit really well, bolted in, very sturdy.

    Hey Mark,
Been asking other forum members on the other forum site about the JBL system on the sound. How do you like it? I have had a lot of aftermarket systems in my vehicles over the years so I know it won’t compare to the ones I had. But I did not want to add another system to my 17.

I think its fine. Good clear sound, subwoofer for bass, I'm quite happy with it. I have a Bose system in my Infiniti, and this sounds just as good to me. Of course, I don't listen to hip-hop at top volume, so can't comment about that type of stuff....
