Guess mine was done before I bought it because it works on mine. Tailgate glass works the same way using the key cylinder in the tailgate.

It should, but I believe only for the premium models. Extra wiring may be needed for base SR5 and OR models.

Well, here is what I got.
When we bought the 4runner the salesman wasn't certain about the features across the trims. He did say that in all 4 runners you can roll the rear window down with the key in the rear cylinder.
    20191010_170256.jpg
Ours is a premium, however the description doesn't say (if equipped) as the running boards do.
This is in my 2019 quick reference guide (non premium specific). If others can confirm. It is page #11.
Hope it helps. If yours isn't working & under warranty; I would call the dealer.20191010_170308.jpg 20191010_170324.jpg

Speaking of manuals, anyone know where I can get the wiring schematics for the 4runner. Google comes up empty except for a portal where you need a dealers code

Some tech on here maybe able to ge it for you. Also, why is there no Hanes repair manuals for these? We all change our T4R's in a lot of ways...

What exactly are you needing? I have access to alldata in my automotive tech and performance college and may be able to pull it for you.

Hanes and chiltons are old school really, expensive to print thousands of manuals for all the different vehicles and they no longer sell like they used to. Much easier to use electronic shop manuals like alldata. You can buy the personal DIY version for like 50 bucks for 5 years of use but that only comes with 1 vehicle model... Full service, all vehicle, all data is a couple hundred a MONTH, so not really an option for most DIYers, and not really needed either.

Down side to the DIY version is it only covers vehicles up to 2015, they figure you dont need it for newer vehicles because they are still under warranty.... lucky for us the 4runner is still the same as it was in 2015.

For now was looking for the taps that feed the mirror puddle lights along with the block locations. I'm willing to buy whatevers out there if possible, later I'll be diving into the sound system schematics.
Good old days with ford and jeep. Had a link that let you right into the OEM data base. After awhile though someone found the leak and bam, door shut

$50 for 5 yrs of alldata isn't bad. If you need the information...
I guess forums kind of replaced the need for repair manuals. Call me old school. I still like the crude information they provided. Some was useful. Volumes, specs etc...

If you are interested in buying it so you have access on your own computer/laptop you can get it here, 1 year for $30 or 5 years for $50. I havent personally used the DIY version as i have access to the full thing at school, but i assume its the same setup just limited to only 1 vehicle. Its not that difficult to navigate but does take a little getting used to if you are not very computer savvy... Like me LOL

    http://www.alldatadiy.com/buy/

But if you dont wanna buy it i can see what i can pull up for you. Just let me know. Maybe tomorrow, if not Monday.

Charlievee, I'm thinking about going with a URD MAF sensor in my new 2019 TRD Off Road. Do you know if you need to wait for any kind of break in period on a new vehicle or voiding a warranty? You seem pretty pleased with your MAF Sensor. All the stuff I've read thus far has been very positive. Actually seems like it's almost better for the engine by making it run more efficiently.

I pulled mine from techinfo.toyota.com. I paid $20 for the two day subscription, and paid my son $5 to download every single PDF for the 4Runner. Well worth it to have the factory manual on a thumb drive. I print out sections as I need em.

    Good info, thank you!
Does All data have the same info as techinfo.toyota.com? If so looks like a cheaper option

Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.
So in other words it doesn't work on any of them unless it's specifically enabled. Gotchya.

I have never used or seen the techinfo site so i really cant say for certain. Alldata, or mitchell1 which is very similar to alldata, is what most dealerships and garage shops use. Techinfo is specific to the Toyota/scion/lexus group of vehicles. Techinfo may offer even more info since it looks like it comes directly from toyota... And i would think/hope it would provide info for newer years compared to alldata DIY, But again i dont honestly know as i havent used it personally.

Your welcome. I’m liking this mod. I went with the OEM part.
Pricey compared to the one mentioned in the link, but I always try to stick with OEM parts.

Been a busy couple of days... I worked on my suspension all day yesterday... I installed my Toytec 3/2 lift all around and finished installing my JBA UCA’s.. was at Discount Tire this morning at 7:30- was the first one in line to be in at 8 am to get my 285/70/17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers installed, they finished up at 8:50 and went over to Firestone to get an alignment. Caster tuned in at 4.1 and 3.9 so pretty much right where it needs to be... minimal rubbing even with my Spidertrax spacers.. have to trim up the inner front fenderwell slightly... not rubbing on the front mudflats at all ... I am very happy with the results

Decided to de-chrome the badges. I went with the Graphite Rust-oleum peel stuff.
