I wish that fit with the dog divider we have. Now I shall use the cage as a makeshift MOLLE panel (I am Polish)! Lol

The Ultra Gauge is setup along with Torque Converter Temps and Transmission Pan Temp.
Used UG’s 2010 Tacoma 4.0 codes to get it working. Once my new mount from UG arrives I’ll install it.

We got our sliders with fill plates and an aluminum streamline on with a grey PC on the shop vehicle the other day. Soon lift and some other goodies.

Took the 4runner to a full service car wash today and this happened... Thought it was kind of neat... 2 4runners and a highlander up front at the same time... Highlander in the middle... Just a weird coincidence...

So after a few weeks of ownership I started getting the steering wheel shakes at 55mph. Took it in today. They couldn’t get the two front tires to balance properly so they replaced both my from tires free of charge of course. So far so good! Hoping this fixes that problem!

My concern is that there is no ToyTec representation where I live, only Old Man Emu, so if there are any problems with the equipment it would take a long time to get a replacement. Under that train of thouight what are your opinions about OME? Thank you.

Well.... I stopped by the exhaust shop that i have always gone to, and the guy recommended for my 4runner to get a magnaflow instead of the flowmaster,,, He is the same guy that recommended flowmaster to me in the past on my tacoma trucks... I loved the flowmasters on the tacomas, but have never heard a magnaflow in person.

I have an appointment friday morning at 830am. So i need to decide by then... But im really not sure which to choose. This guy does exhaust systems all day long every day... I told him i dont want a lot of drone but do want a deep sound, he thinks ill be happier with magnaflow...

He said he will do either one i choose for the same price. $200 welded in, parts/labor included, $300 with an 18" black stainless pipe... Ill definitely get the black stainless tail pipe, just for looks, that little bent pipe out the back is lame LOL

ToyTec systems are Bilstein 5100 shocks and Eibach coils. Take it up directly with the manufacturer if you need to. Truth is, if you have a catastrophic failure, no lift company will cover it anyway. They all just blame it on abuse and say "we'll sell you a replacement at a 10% discount" IMO, warranty if lift kits is meaningless. As for OME, I have no personal experience with them so I really can't say anything positive or negative. What I can say is people seem to enjoy them and like the ride quality. Just make sure you order a top hat spacer for the drivers side if you go with anything that is non adjustable that way it sits level.

Switched out the Transfer case shifter Knob with the FJ Black Version.
    Thanks @siblue for the part#

Mounted the Ultra Gauge and installed VLEDS Map lights.

Also added a Cover-craft Sunshield and had the moon roof Tinted. My installer suggested that you can’t go to Dark while tinting the moon roof. It’s definitely an improvement to have it tinted.

Finally got around to changing my oil , what a pain in the ass lol why did they not make a access hole to remove the filter geez ... such a fight to get the skid plate off.. note to self next time I’ll use my impact driver to remove the bolts and put them back in.. first vehicle I’ve owned that don’t use the spin on filters.. like my ole 06 Tacoma...

It’s also good to put some anti-seize On the threads of the Skid plate mounting bolts.

The TRD Skid has the Access plate (Opening) to get to the filter.

My '10 FJ had the canister filter too. I think they made it a PITA so they would get more traffic to the dealership for oil changes (upsells). Can't think of any other valid reason for the switch from an owners perspective.

Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.
Turned 4,000 miles. I'll probably do the first oil change before 5,000 'cause I don't want to be doing it when it's 30 degrees out. Washed and waxed it so of course it's raining. Oh well.

I know it's a little different.... but I had Magnaflow exhaust on my Tundra and loved it.... not to noisy but had a nice deep growl to it.

Just acquired my white 2019 TRD Pro. Took it straight to Protective Film Solutions (PFS) in Orange county for exterior and interior Ceramic coating. Additially, some weather tech front and rear all weather Matt's should be arriving today. And next week some Morimoto 2 stroke Led bulbs will go in. Additionally, I will be installing a NUNA car seat which I'm hoping boosts curb appeal .

At PFS the platinum ceramic coating package with 10yr warranty was 1600. 3 layers of Glanz base, 1 layer Glanz top, 1 layer glanz plastic/trim coating, 1 layer glanz wheel face and glass coating. I am unsure how much for only the windows but I pick up the car today and I can inquire for you.

Yea i will prolly go with the magnaflow, I went and listened to 2 of them today, 1 on a Tacoma and 1 on a Colorado, both 6 cylinders. Neither as loud as the flowmasters im used to. The one on the Tacoma was 18" and the one on the Colorado was a 14".... I liked the 14" more. The 18 really wasnt loud enough for me. So im thinking i will go 14". Its not real loud either but i like the sound more.

It will be done in the morning, so i will really know how much i like it then LOL

When I had my Tacoma, I started with a single 14" 5x8 muffler. A little too loud for me, so I added a second 14" inline. Louder than stock when I wanted it to be, but I could drive through your neighborhood at 3am and not disturb anyone.

Yea i have always had 40 series flowmasters and I'm used to them. More aggressive sounding, so the 14" Magnaflow is a step down in sound for me.

Still a good bit of sound though so i should be happy... Anything too close to stock and I'd just stay with the stock muffler.

Maybe I'm just getting old lol. When I was younger, I had a dual Magnaflow setup with no resonator on one of my cars. It was loud, but not obnoxious though. I don't think the 1GR-FE sounds as good with an aftermarket exhaust though. On the 4Runner, it sounds good at around 3K rpms, other than that, meh.

Really nothing sounds good on the 4.0, especially not a flowmaster. I put a Borla muffler under mine which is quieter than Magnaflow and It's ok but it's nothing to write home about. It's a V6 with an exhaust, there is no way to make them sound good.

It's a V6, there is no rumble at all. For those of us that have had a V8 with an exhaust, we will never be satisfied with a V6 with an exhaust lol

Before the Tacoma, I had several GM cars. The older pushrod V6s didn't sound to bad at low to mid rpms. Especially the 90° V6.
