Other forum someone commented on wiring and no way to secure it. Guessing they didn't install in completely because once in place it clips in and screws hold it tight. The wiring was easy, plenty of room up top to use the supplied connector high and dry.
Many have said the bottom mounting plate is not flush. Same here and had a slight gap. It was no big deal as its next to the drain hole but just the same used some black pipe wrap like silly putty and filled in the micro small gap.

Nice ForRun. I did the oem led and the blinkers as well this weekend. I did a reg led not Meso but still better then it was.

just went out side and for $124 the oem fog is really a must do for the price

the blinkers are a lot brighter I paid $64 ...Amazon has them now for $50

Just got back from a ride, with the fogs on.
I had the morimoto and now oem. They are both good but the morimoto has a tad more usable light. I'm thinking because it has a wider cast whereas the oem have a sharp cutoff and a narrow field of light. Look at the before after pics on the garage door. I'm happy with the oem as the morimoto blackout look (to me) looked odd in the daytime on a white 4runner.
Both are way better than stock halogen!

What have I DONE for our 5th Gen. Ignore the mess, it was a long weekend but I fixed some of my space and mobility issues for the RTT. When you lift one end, the third leg kicks out (gravity style) and locks into the lower frame so it sits flat and level. When you are ready to fold it up, you lift a little and kick the third leg in and it slides back and it folds up. Over engineered a bit but with this set up, but this paired with our pulley system in the rafters of the shop, my wife can load and unload the tent herself and move it around. It also puts the RTT at a good level to open and air out or clean.

Took it in for 5k check and get passenger side mirror whistle addressed. Of course they couldn’t reproduce the whistle. I drive it again, make a video of the whistle and go right back. Tech rides out and we figured out the mirror is a little loose and the gap between the mirror body and mount is what is causing the whistle.

Tech pops off the bottom plastic cover piece then breaks one of the clips while putting it back on. Tech gets it back on, then says he will order a new mirror to see if that fixes the whistle problem... didn’t say anything about the piece he broke and I even said he broke it. If they put on a new mirror with new bottom piece all good, if they don’t they better order a new bottom part to replace what they broke.

My wife got her 5K service on her 2019 Camry last week... The service tech performing the service very obviously opened the door into the post while it was on the rack... Scratched it down to the bare metal.

They brought it out without saying ANYTHING... Soon as my wife walks up She sees it and points it out to the service consultant... Who had the nerve to say that was probably there before you came..

My wife wouldn't accept the car... Calls me... I tell her to ask if they did a walk around inspection when they accepted the car, as they're supposed to do... She asks the service consultant Who says yes and he pulls the inspection report... No record of any scratch on the report...

They're painting her door now. Stealerships always try and get over. Had she accepted the car and just drove off when the consultant blamed her of it, she would've been stuck with the deep scratch.

Will see if the 19 does better than my 2000 runner did. Pulled lots bushes out with a strap today(much easier than digging and chopping). When I did that with my 2000, back in the year 2000 it blowout a seal in the transfer case

Time for both of you to change dealers IMO. My dealer has always acknowledged their screwups. Your dealers are hiring techs that dgaf! So your dealer dgaf! either
Write them and forward it to corporate why you are changing dealers. You all dont need to put up with that crap.

I agree... The first time I brought my rig to the dealership for the free maintenance...they complimented me on the mods and said see you next time... After hearing about the nightmare experiences... I have some appreciation for my dealership

The dealership where I get my free service is great. As with anything anywhere, there will always be some bad apples. Doesn't mean the entire industry is full of bad apples. Some dealerships actually treat you as if they want you as a repeat customer. And let's be honest, there are plenty of bad customers as well.

With that said, I won't be going back to them after my free services are complete. I just prefer to do maintenance myself and not have to pay crazy dealership markups.

I have bought 5 new toyotas from this dealership, going back nearly 20 years. My first car i bought myself after high school was a corolla from this very same dealership. Have had mostly very positive experiences. They did me real well on my 3 different tacomas, even after the lifts and tires. They never tried getting over on services, they were quick to do any TSBs that i asked about, and even fixed my leaf springs squeaking when other people on tacomaworld couldnt get their dealerships to do it....

Accidents happen, but the fact that they tried blaming my wife for the scratch was enough to really piss me off. I put vehicles on lifts nearly every day, and its not that difficult to be careless and ding a door, but you know it if you do it. Its not something you do without realizing. Even so, maybe the tech was careless, didnt own up to it, maybe another tech opened a door too close to my wifes car before/after it was on the lift, maybe the consultant didnt know about it...Theres no way for me to know who there is to really blame... if not ALL OF THEM.

All that being said, i will likely continue to use them for both my wife and my free services and warranty work, being as they are the only dealership within an hour distance, but my wife and i will ask for a THOROUGH walk around inspection at each drop off and do another before we get in the car to leave.

Fair enough. It sucks when people don't own up to things like that, and very frustrating as well.
