looking for some guidance and advice, I'm new to the forum! I will be installing my King front/rear shocks w/adjusters, Total Chaos uca, Icon 2" rear coil; planning to keep my stock TRD Off Road wheels until i can decide on an aftermarket set. I'll be wrapping my wheels in Nitto Ridge Grapplers 285/70/17. My lift will be 3" front & 2.5" rear, i understand i'll probably have to do some trimming/chopping but my concern is will this tire size and setup interfere with my uca without having to run wheel spacers? Greatly appreciate anyone's response!

There's lots of people running that tire size with less lift on stock UCAs... I don't know if the total chaos ucas would cause issues or not...

You shouldn't have a problem with stock wheels and a TC UCA.

Get an alignment after you put everything on and have them push the caster as close to 4* as they can get it.

This way you may only have to push the fender liner forward and do a small amount of trimming on the fender flare (you might not even have to do this, just depends on your truck). But going this route will allow you to avoid a Body Mount Chop.

When you get new wheels, be mindful that differences in backspacing, width, and offset can cause rubbing on UCA's, body mount, mudflap, front fender, ect.... In other words, try not to deviate too far from the stock backspacing, width, and offset unless you're prepared to do some modifications.

Thank you for your advice, I appreciate it. I'll post an update once I'm done with installing; I'm ready to chop and trim once I get my aftermarket wheels! =)

Photos after install with tires; wheels sit a little inside the fenders but so far no noticeable rubbing. Will soon be getting aftermarket wheels with a -38 offset. Thank you everyone for your advice.

I havent got alignment done yet; but for now the ride quality on road is amazing! No nose dive as mentioned by others, I don't have the kdss lean but maybe it might come around once it settles. I got my shocks custom tuned by accutune so I'm really excited to try it on the trail. Once I get alignment done my smile just gets bigger.

Don’t forget to re-torque after about 500 miles, enjoy the ride.

You're the first person that I've seen who had shocks valves by Accutune installed on a truck. Please let us know how it rides after you get settled. By the way, what steered to toward having them revolved? Thanks

    Looks great!

Also interested in hearing about the re-valve. Did they tune it for dual onroad/offroad use, or more of an offroad only tune?

Do you have any lean? I just installed bp-51s and I have some driver side lean.in reverse at full lock I rub. I’m running 275\70 r17. Looks great though op.

DO you have aftermarket wheels? With negative offsets?

Negative offsets can create rubbing, spacers can as well. Lots of people run 275s without any issues rubbing even on factory suspension.

I have trd pro wheels. They rubbed with the stock suspension, and although I can crank it more with the lift, it rubs in full lock. But this is only going in reverse, not forward

After market UCA like SPC with a ton of forward adjustment will solve this.

Ride quality on road so far has been amazing, I got the valves tuned for both on road and off; more so for offroading. Not too soft or stiff on road; ill update again once I touch dirt. What steered me to having it revalved was honestly personal preference and recommendation from friends of mine. Accutune provides an awesome service, free shock tuning if purchased thru them. I really went down the "buy once, cry once" route. Haha

No lean yet, it's been 3 days since install and I wasnt driving it much for it to settle; but as of now there isnt any noticeable lean or rubbing

If anyone is curious to know what my alignment chart looks like. I literally got it done today; drove 50-100mi before I got the alignment done.

    Alignment looks good!

How does it feel after alignment?

Any issues with rubbing on the front fender liner/flare?

@lodi781 What do your alignment numbers look like and where are you rubbing?

Drives great once I got alignment, before the alignment it got a little swirly once I got above 60mph. No rubbing issues, i got it lifted to 3". I know once I decide to go 295 I will rub and require me to make some modifications.

I just did my rig. Fox 2.0 coil overs and also rear shocks. I went with Toyo 285/70/17... love the tire. Slight rub left full cranked turn, other than that I am happy with set up.

Hey buddy, sorry for the late reply. I don’t have the paperwork as they did it at the shop where I had the lift put on. If i’m Empty on gas, it doesn’t rub, but when I fill up it rubs. it is what it is I guess...

It’s not a free service from Accutune it’s a free service from King. If they are off the shelf it is what it is, but if you order them King will custom valve them for no additional charge while they are being built. I went custom valved with custom length and extended travel for mine.

So if you don't mind, what are the lengths (comp. & ext) you went with. And what exactly was done with the valving. Shutter stack? Thanks

I don’t have the info off the top my head. Filthy Motorsports and King got together and determined what was best for my application (tire size, weight of the vehicle, intended use, ride quality preference, etc.)
