    I have a 99 4runner.
I installed a supercharger 1st Gen with my freind. After the install the P0171 code appeared.

I installed a 7th injector but still the code is there.
Did a smoke test into into the intake by the manifold. No leaks. The hoses are all new.

    What could it be?

Have you checked the Olsen Coaxial Modem Cable?

Just kidding, that's a line from McHale's Navy...

Anyway.... according to the interweb, "The code is thrown when the oxygen sensors detect that there’s not enough oxygen in the exhaust system. This is commonly referred to as a “lean” condition."

It's either getting too much air or too little fuel. Looks like he's checked for vacuum leaks so it may not be getting enough fuel. I would check fuel pressure and clean the MAF.

No didn't check the fuel pressure. That's a good point.
I installed a new fuel pump that came with the 7th injector. I did clean the MAF sensor when installing the supercharger.
