Yup, with 2 diesels & this as my wife's DD. I would prefer to just put a black TRD tip on the factory exhaust.
I know it sounds odd.

That green is badass. My new favorite Toyota color for sure.

Not a fan of hood scoops on any truck or suv personally... Not a fan of that roof rack... And would prefer if the lower valance was green also instead of black. I'm actually in the minority i guess as i prefer the looks of the sr5 front... If i could of afforded a Pro, i would of traded grilles for an sr5... Also i don't think i like those wheels either...

So basically i love the green... But a green paint or wrap job would be cheaper than getting a pro and then having to switch out hoods, wheels, rack, and grille... Though I'm sure LOADS of people would be in line for those trades LOL

 

The wheels and badging get put on after it’s imported I think. I will be able to afford one in ten years. Not worth fifty K...

Today the contractors began working on my detached garage... "Only" took like 8 weeks to get permits approved, wait for the rain to stop, and get the contractors rolling... But at least its finally moving along. Concrete will be poured Tuesday.

24x41 inside, with a 12x41 lean to. Concrete will be 3500psi and 6" thick in the middle for 20x24 of the interior, the rest is 4" thick. That way i can add a 2 post lift anywhere in the center. Two 10x10 garage doors set up on the ends as a drive through. 12 foot tall sides, 16 foot tall in the center.

Though my wife is really trying to talk me out of putting a lift in it and turning it into a shop... She wants me to put a full bar, pool table, air hockey, and poker table in it and make it a hang out and party building... Im tempted... We'd use that more than id use the lift.. But damn the lift would come in handy sometimes LOL

 

Dont forget the 220volt and a plug outlet every six feet...no block around the base?

 

Yup 220v is needed for the lift, and other stuff as well. And there will be outlets every 5 feet. And a few on the roof beams as well.

Yea there are footers and rebar, and termite protection.... even though the building will be metal LOL

I don’t have a lift but my neighbor gave me an oven that the burners don’t work on. I use it for powder-coating...

 

Shit if my wife gets her way i wont have a lift either... Ill have a party building.

I could of saved a few thousand bucks if that was my intention, wouldnt of needed the extra expense of 3500psi concrete, or need it to be 6" thick... Or need the 2 10x10 garage doors... Or need the side heights at 12' tall. I should tell her ill make it a party building IF she gives me the money i wasted setting it up as a shop... But that wouldnt go over very well LOL

 

Your wife sounds cool! Definitely get a lift. Definitely leave room for a loft for all the shit the wifey will wanna store in your shop. Make sure you have multiple 220v outlets, extend the closed in part snd reduce the lean to portion. 21x41 isn’t big enough. Trust me on this! Make the garage doors bigger than 10’, my 16 footers are much nicer than shorter doors. Brings the outside inside.

At least 16’ to the rafters makes good corn hole throwing for those winter parties.

Make SURE you have a bathroom out there.

 

Oh, and congratulations on the new shop. I practically live in mine. It’s where I’m at when I’m not working with my business or sleeping. Sitting in here as I write this.

Id love to go bigger. That was as big as i could afford though... It was only going to be 20x30 at first. Doors were going to be 7x8... But i saved a bit longer... Im tired of waiting at this point. Dont want to save for 3 more years LOL Lean to was really cheap to add on, the idea was to give me somewhere to grill and not have to worry about it raining, put a patio set out there and have a nice spot to cook and eat.

I would only have 1 vehicle in it being worked on at a time. No boats or vehicles will be kept in there. We have a carport for that. And NOTHING will be stored in there. Already have a separate wood working shop, barn type shed, and half empty storage connex on my property... She can store crap in one of them LOL
