Yes you can turn the eco bar completely off. Forever. And also the seatbelt chime. These two things are the reason I bought the Carista.

I also ended up changing several other things too. I like the headlights to turn off when I turn the truck off, not 30 seconds later. And I turned off all the auto-lock/unlock door stuff. And the moon roof just takes a single tap to the button now and it opens all the way instead of having to hold it for a second.

I changed the length of time the puddle lights stay on. And the length of time the dome light stays on and when it comes on.

Lots of things you can play around with. I think you can get one week free on the app (which is all you need, really. Once and done).

Hmm. I'll have to check again. Never really looked that hard. Thanks.

Do you know if you can program headlights to come on automatically?

Just leave them on. They will turn off 30 seconds (or so) after pressing the lock button on the fob once or press it twice and and they will turn off immediately.

You can turn Traction Control and VSC off by pressing and releasing the button with the car and squiggly lines (overhead console on my 12' Limited),
    TRAC off.jpg
then pressing and holding the button for 3 seconds. These indicator lights will illuminate on your gauge cluster. TRAC off indicator lights.jpg
This will disable it for as long as you want it, until the vehicle is shut off and restarted. Then you do the process again. Just pressing the button once will only disable it for a few minutes. You have to do it the second time and hold for 3 secs.

    Even at higher speeds?

Normally, on my 2019 sr5 when I hit 32mph, or close to that, it automatically shuts off... Makes fish tailing them back dirt roads less fun...

I'll try the double press thing and see if it stays off at that speed.

Hmmm, have to test that one myself. 2nd time has to be held for 3 seconds though. Damn My truck needs a detail too.

Excellent. I'll test it out later today as well... Hopefully it's the same on my 2019. I hate that it always cut off once things got "fun" LOL

I figured it was a safety feature... Which i could understand... But it'd be nice to bypass it.

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet... but the middle row seats recline. Many owners aren't aware of this until someone points it out to them.

For those that never open their own hood... another "feature" I think is neat (though not really "useful")... the hood has a sound dampening panel on the underside and it's "carpeted"! One more example of the more attention to detail of the 4runner over the Tacoma (this feature particularly impressed me). And if you drive through an area where cattails are shedding their seeds in the fall... you're gonna have to vacuum the underside of your hood!
