    Nice find.
Guarantee you will need a 2020 Pro vin to order one...
I want to order the tip!

I wonder what the "Venture" package is?

Borla and Bosal use to supply TRD.
Not sure what supplier makes them now.

Yeah holy crap the price has sure gone up! Can probably have the same thing done at a shop for way cheaper.

An I can guess the Venture package is well, a ripoff also.

For that price i would do the Borla and almost have enough left over for the URD mid pipe.

Just installed one on a good friend of mines truck. Sounds really good, reminds of the TRD exhaust on the Tacomas. Looks really nice, too, I actually thought the TRD logo would be in the side of the tip, but it's actually on the top. I think the picture in this thread is of the exhaust on the Tacoma. Only thing I don't understand is why they decided to use a muffler that has dual inlet and outlets when they could've used a single in and out. At first we thought it was for optional dual exhaust, but after installing we realized there's no room the way it's designed. Overall, he's happy with it. Butt Dyno says it feels more responsive and torqey. The sound now matches the look

That's what I was thinking, too, that he may be the first 4Runner on the Island with one since no 2020 TRD Pro 4Runners on the road yet, but not to say someone else couldn't have bought one like we did. I did see a Tacoma with a black chrome tip TRD exhaust on the road though

It does sound pretty good. Nice low rumble, no rasp, and even more aggressive when you get into VVTI. Also, forgot to mention that we did the TRD intake at the same time, so may be the reason why we feel a bigger difference on the butt dyno. I asked him to send me a video clip. Hopefully his phone can record the sound accurately enough to represent what it actually sounds like in person. It reminds me of what the TRD exhaust sounded like on the gen1 1GRFE motors on the Tacoma, just a little smoother and quieter

    That muffler design is crazy.

Is that really what Toyota is using for the TRD mufflers?

I thought they were using Borla, or was that in the past?

Thats the proof. If you put TRD on it folks will pay top dollar for junk.

I haven't been looking into performance tune ups since the late 90's. Getting back into it since i got BIG RED. How does this exhaust increase performance? Unless you take out the cat and muffler, I don't see how there can be any gainz.

@shook mind sharing the dyno before/after numbers?

Don't have any dyno results, and don't think he'll be getting any. I'm no expert, but basics of making more power is getting more air+fuel in, and getting the exhaust out quick, and with the least amount of restriction is what you want. I think the idea of aftermarket exhaust is increased pipe diameter, smoother bends, and less restrictive muffler is what helps in getting the exhaust gases out quicker, and smoother than the stock system which in turn makes more power and torque

An engine needs both air & fuel.
    In an appropriate ratio!
    Then less restrictions really help.
    Basic.
    Cubic inches or technology!

I agree. Balanced, also the exhaust can change your power curve. Less restrictive may give you more power, but less torque, or some pressure helps with torque, but less power. Something like that :notsure:

A crotch rocket should be retuned, even when you switch air filters, ie K&N....but the computer should compensate for the added air flow....

Toyota parts had Labor Day sale. dealer cost was 700ish, 12% off but then add tax and shipping it was around 700. There were dealers way south advertising less but shipping may have killed it?
