Hi everyone, can I have some advice re replacing the CV joints on my 92 5spd,SR5 please?

I've done the usual youtube search and sort of found what I was looking for.
The vids I watched pretty much said undo sway bar, shocks and separate the control arms.
    Undo CV,remove,replace.

I have an electronic copy of the Toyota shop manual, reading that , unless I've missed something it only says expose and the outer CV joint, circlip off, center bolt out, undo inner, drop inner and slide out.Reinstall is the reverse.Theres no mention of separating the front end to get at it.

I know there's no such thing as a stupid question but I'm new to 4runners and CV's so if the answer is kinda obvious...sorry.
    Cheers!

You can use a long bar and knock the studs out of the flange on the diff and get it out that way instead disconnecting control arms or seperating ball joints. . I have done it this way in the past and you won't need to have it aligned afterwards. There's a write up on it on T4R. Hopefully this helps.
