Someone needed to start this annoying thread first..why not me?

I am sure it will be the only thread to cover this topic for many years to come.

Will 285's fit if I also use the TRD wheels?

I was able to stuff 235's on my 6th gen, no rubbing. Moved my ground clearance from 5 inches to 6. Now I get no rubbing from speed bumps. Highly recommended.

I'd only go up one Gen in size, at least from a 5th to a 6th Gen....

I highly recommend not making eye contact with anyone while there's rubbing going on...so awkward

44s but it rubs a little

Not worth it though because the 4Runner is a piece of trash gas hog. I can’t believe my Raptor got 23mpg in town and this pig barely breaks 11!!

You don't need big tires, just a lift!

My 4Runner will never go off road... do I need rear lockers for snow?

    Oooh look, another mod.....

You'll need a front, rear and center locker. You may need sway bar disconnects too...

    PERFECT

I'll just slap my summer tires on and it will be a beast in the snow.

center diff is probably all you really need for snow. its really fun playing in the snow with it on :)

if you get to the point where you need front/mid/rear, just call a tow truck to extract you. less headache and you save your diffs from abuse.

My first thought on seeing that was it reminds me of some of the comical combinations in Mariokart ;)

Being serious, that would be a great illustration for a thread explaining why lifts alone don't create more ground clearance.
