These are a great enhancement to your 4Runner and really easy to apply. The material is just a basic vacuum formed plastic with adhesive tape on the inside. I feel they're a little bit pricey for the material they are made of and how they feel, but if they were made of anything else that was thicker or heavier, they may not adhere as well. And I cannot say the material is weak, as they have been holding up very well for several months so far with no signs of weakness, cracks or other issues. Just follow the instructions and clean the emblems before and ensure to press and hold for 30-60 seconds when you first apply them so the adhesive sticks properly.
It's been about 5 months now in Colorado with some hot and a few extreme cold days, and these are still adhering with no issues yet. But they have not been exposed to the most harsh and extreme climates yet except for a few single digit temps this winter. Eiteh way, I am pleased so far.
