I really like that fishing rod mod. I would definitely copy that. The front part where the rod tips snap in. Is that a buyable aftermarket part,or is it a custom piece.

yeah.. it's all stuff you can buy and assemble by cutting it up.. the orange foam part and its plastic shell is just an Amazon thing.. I cut the wings off.. the bar it attaches to is a shelf rail from home depot.. it's essentially a C channel that the orange foam fits in while the black plastic goes on the outside. I and post another pic later if you want to see how.. I have not made a good mount to the handles yet. just jammed it in with foam for now. but even that is very stable
