I waved at a lifted desert sand FJ with wheels, tires, and an ARB bumper. He was confused

Does your bike flop around a lot on the hitch mount?

    yup
even more so with this pos carrier
i had a versahaul for the last 15 years and just sold it after sandy wiped out my other bike
didnt plan on getting another one, and thought if i did i could throw it in the taco bed

i have a front hidden hitch and was going to put the bike there-but i did not think that through enough as the bike is like 10' tall in the front
    errr
i am not happy about it,but it should work for this last trip until i can build another one or pickup another versahaul

Damn that's a shame. Possibly shim the receivers too to reduce play and flop?

Only way to put the bike up front would be to make the carrier yourself, including a significant height drop to allow you to see properly

Progress on LT has come to a halt thanks to the CV's. Bolted the skids on though.

What skids are those? Why don't they cover the cams?

Just the optional skids TC offers. They aren't much really, being 3/16" aluminum (I think). I don't think TC is all too worried about the cams.

TC has their cam plates that do an amazing job on their own.

Yeah those were a huge pita. Those "spot welds" required us to drill all the way through just to break them loose. Jake said he didn't want to do that install ever again.
