Its the same truck. There are a few minor upgrades: a bit of the safety sense tech, a new & larger head unit, I've seen something mentioned something about a dual exhaust and push button start on the Pro. no reports about engine/transmission so I would expect the same 4.0/5at
Some are calling it a refresh but IMO it's just some model year upgrades.

I suspect there will be a grip of us trying to install the new head unit in our older 5th gens if it's worth a damn.

Does anyone know if the 2020 4 runner limited has a new body style? I can't get answers from the dealer or anyone. Thanks!

What I have been reading for the last 4 months is no. Rumor is only adding carplay and saftey sense. Lastest rumor is 19s will be upgradable to car play but only a rumor at the moment.
I was going to wait for a 20 until I test drove a 19 for a day and relizered how bad the sound is. With a need for a new deck it didn't make sense for me to wait on the 20. Saftey sense is overrated. Without it we have a novel concept of people paying attention to driving. Saftey sense will bring more accidents imo due to people becoming dependant on it and being clueless to the surroundings

Just like those new fangled seat belts and air bags have given millennial snowflakes a false sense of security and led to more accidents.

So are you saying that the sound system on the 19 isn't that good? Not sure what you mean. The reason why I ask about the 20 is that I will get an 18 if it looks exactly like the 20. One dealer said that he read the lights on the 20 will be different. Thanks!

I heard it will have more ground clearance, more lift. And it will have two slots under the headlights..

Not quite the same thing. Saftey sense is an aid, not replacement for common sense. Idiots get used to not paying attention will give them more time to text

You hit the nail on the head with this statement.

Nothing is a replacement for common sense. You either have it, or you don't.

People who text and drive are still going to text and drive whether they have safety sense or not.

And people who are vigilant drivers will still remain vigilant.

The difference is safety sense can save the life of a vigilant driver because no matter how vigilant you are, crazy shit can still happen.

I had the safety sense on my 18 taco. It was good for what it was intended for. Honesty it would go off anytime a cop was around with a radar gun so that was a plus
