I emailed them/him months ago and never got a reply. Twice. After that decided to spend the money elsewhere. The older I get the more bad customer service straight pisses me off. But they are some nice shifter handles and glad you got yours. May go for a stock FJ shifter instead since that shifter kind of resembles the transfer case shifter

Interesting in the difference in results.
I wish they offered color lettering & bolt options!

Wow I had a totally different experience. I emailed and asked him a question and he responded rather quickly. He also told me he was sold out but would be making another batch soon and sent me a link to his website that had a email as soon as available box. I did that and a couple of days later I got the email and purchased mine.
I agree as a old fart myself bad service is unacceptable.

That’s what I asked about first. I wanted the TRD in red. They let you choose font and lettering not color.

I feel the same way about customer service, I've got kind of a short fuse with piss poor service except I don't yell and scream, I just black list them. There are plenty of companies out there that want my money and I'm not going to go out of my way to be anybody's customer if they make it difficult. It's like FN Wheels I've left messages three different ways starting two weeks ago. Not even an automated reply via email, or a reply to my text, or a returned phone call. So I'm done with them. At least VTX took my phone call and answered all my emails that day. So even though they have no ETA on the wheels I'm interested in I'm willing to wait. Same thing with Ryan from TSW Wheels, he answered all my messages too within a couple hours and I'm willing to wait for their stock to replenish. Just simple things like that go a long way with me and other people. It's lost on me why some companies or people don't grasp that. Ignoring people (potential customers) or not returning messages is the same as telling them they don't matter....great business strategy.

Edit: - SCS got back to me within a couple days too. So that's three potential wheel companies I may do business with..even though I have to go through a reseller for TSW Level 8's.

Finally decided on my navigation solution. I didn't want to drill anything and decided the goose-neck style iPad holders looked like they might be a little too flimsy. This is what I decided to do.

I went with the RAM "Wedge" which slides between the passenger seat and the center console. It then has a spot to mount a diamond RAM ball. From there I connected a RAM arm designed to connect two RAM ball points. One end attaches to the wedge mount while the other connects to my iPad holder which is the RAM X-Grip.

All in all, it's extremely solid and comfortable to interact with. I'm very happy with the results.

    Always a solid option.

At first I was duct taping my phone to my face, but my eyes couldn't focus that close.

Wrapped the faux wood and replaced the shifter knob with a new one from the previous model 4Runner. Looks so much better to me. I don’t mind some wood grain but it was out of place with only 2 pieces...needed more or none at all. Considered the TRD shifter as others have done but since it is not a TRD, it just felt a little wrong.

The Etune nav might work fine for most people, but I like to go on trails that I've never been on before and there are much more robust navigation apps out there such as Gaia GPS which is what I'm using. It lets you plot points, has points of interest, and different overlays such as private and public hunting grounds. Really helpful stuff.

Having an iPad dedicated for it is really more of a luxury than a need, but it's a luxury that I really appreciate having.

The write up says it’s to enable rear fog or tail running light feature. I could never figure out what they were talking About.

Wow a lot of work in one day. Can you please explain how you did a complete transmission fluid change? Thanks!

I don't know why I am so intimidated about the trans fluid change. It seems like it requires a lot of steps and I guess I just don't want to screw something up. I do all my own maintenance and maybe I'm just being a wuss about this trans fluid change but why the hell does it seem so complicated??

@WallyT4R I did a full transmission flush on my Tacoma, very easy if you use a pump sprayer. There's a good write up on Tacoma world that walks you through it. Same transmission as our 4runners
