Somewhat new to the forum, but far from new to the 4Runner platform. I’ve had a total of 8 over the last decade or so. The latest being two 2018’s. One for the wife and the other for me, mine is the adventure rig.

Purchased mine new in October of 2018. Had about 200 miles on the clock, and since it had been on the lot since April, I was able to secure what I felt like was a pretty good deal on exactly what I was looking for. A silver TRD Offroad non premium (don’t like leather).

This is how it started back in October.

Mods were literally being ordered on my drive back from the dealership when I picked up the truck.

First things first, lift and tires! I decided to go with Icon extended travel coilovers for the front and SPC UCA’s. For the rear I opted for the Icon Overland springs and the 2.5 remote reservoir shocks.

Tires were installed the same day. Went with Ridge Grapplers in LT285/70/17. This is how it sat literally 6 days after bringing it home.

That weekend, with 718 miles on the clock, it was dropped on its first trail in the great Appalachian mountains in Western NC.

After a few weeks wait, I had armor showing up from RCI Offroad. Sliders and full steel skids. I also decided to swap wheels to a very familiar brand with SCS Ray 10’s in black.

Shortly after installing the wheels and armor, Southern Style Offroad came through with a hybrid front bumper that would hold the 10k pound winch with synthetic rope and Factor 55 flatlink and fairlead. I also decided I liked the look of the TRD Pro front grille a lot better than any of the others. The Raptor lights were pretty cool in my opinion as well. I opted to do it right and get the ones specifically designed for the Pro grille as I didn’t want to zip tie a random set of cheap lights to my grille.

A few weeks later I was installing the newly released full length non drill roof rack from Prinsu along with the 38” X6S light bar from Extreme light bars.

I like them. They don’t perform like my STT Pros on my 4th gen, but they also aren’t as loud either. I’d buy them again.

For rear storage and organization I decided to add a set of the molle panels from Rago Fabrication and a set of pre fab drawers from Dobinson’s. Both have worked extremely well so far.
