    I got extremely drunk last night and traded it and my mustang for this... It has the 2.0 Turbo hybrid engine in it, and no joke, I did a burnout in 4H. I am in love with this little engine..and motor. IMG_20190307_084905_258.jpg IMG_20190306_191409_341.jpg

    With insurance accounted, I now have an extra $800 a month in the bank, and a brand new ride with a 120k mile bumper to bumper warranty. Heck, it even came pre-loaded with 285/70/17's.. LOL. One thing though.. It has some tiny ass side mirrors on it.

    Congrats! That's a lot of savings per month. I hope the Rubicon serves you well. Hell with $800 a month you could look into having AEV do a Hemi swap at that thing. :transformer:

    @WallyT4R
    I have a 60k mile rule. No mods until 60k miles on my OR vehicles. So for me that equates to about 24 months of diving. But...hemi.. ha ha!

    Oh wow @Crusifix , just reread and didn't see the first time you have the 2.0 turbo hybrid. So you like it huh? I have not heard much on that motor. Good to hear it has enough power.

    When I test drove it, I assumed that it had the 3.6 in it. I thought, "wow this thing as some torque"... Then I read the window sticker and was surprised that the little 2.0 was under the hood.

    Also of note. I got the LED headlight and fog light option... Wow! Extremely bright!

    Congrats! I was between a Ruby and the 4Runner. The occasional third row need won out. If not for that, I'd be in the Jeep. Fun ride!

    Excellent, thanks for the link... exactly what happened when I installed the first rear bolt. I talked to the SDHQ guys, they had no idea what I was talking about...

    Installed my accessorides remote start (no pictures taken, but it a super easy plug and play install).

    Also installed a rago antenna mount. I got the antenna on and cable ran, but still need to run everything else and install the radio tomorrow. The rago mount install involves drilling three holes into the plastic bumper, and sandwiching it with a plate on the inside. Its quick, easy, and plenty steady... but I admit that I did have to take a couple deep breaths before I started drill... 4runner still has less than 500 miles on it, lol.

    Removed roof rack.... not a popular look and husband didn’t like it at all he said it’s not a 4runner without it. Hoping this convinces him getting my baja rack is top priority :rofl:

    Of course a personal choice, but you're probably better off in the long run selling the Taco now. 3 kids in that will get tough, fast, and before you know it, you'll be hauling around kids without car seats but with all the extra school/sports bags.

    Yes, there is a spot on the inner bracket to attach a ground to run down to the frame.

    The cable I ran down below the mount, and then sort of wedged into the tailgate door seal; up into tail light; then ran down that hole to underneath and along the frame. From there, I ran it into the back through a grommet in the floor. I can take some pictures later today to better show what I did. The radio will be a Yaesu 8900r. I plan to install the radio itself under my driver seats, and remote mount the face plate on a pro clip mount on the dash (the one that clips to the trim of an AC vent trim piece).

    How do you like the remote start? One of the things lacking on mine that my wife wanted - $300 doesn't seem too crazy for the feature. I didn't even bother asking the stealership... probably would have been $1k and a days labor.

    So far so good! At first I was a bit worried, because the instructions do not appear to be very detailed... but once you start into it, everything was obvious on what connects where. And it was only like three plugs. Getting the dash apart was fairly easy too. Three presses of the lock button on the factory remote, and it starts right up.

    I'd wish I'd taken some pics... but I'd have to take the dash back off to get them now :(

    Bought a 2015 4Runner SR5 Premium (last Friday). Have already tinted the front windows and installed new Yitamotor floor mats and vent shades. This is mostly my wife’s car but I have a few plans for it. I will be painting the roof rack black and plastidip for the badges this weekend. Next will be.....not sure have to get the wife’s permission lol but I want just a nice leveling kit with some black trd wheels and 275/70 tires.
