We bought a 2008 w/ Dick Cepek Wheels with bad tires. Since We live almost 100 miles from where we purchased it the seller offered to have good used tires put on to make the trip home. We took him up on his offer. I wish now we didn’t. It was drive great before they put the tires on. We got 30 miles down the hiway and had to pull over the wheels weren’t ‘right’. They had put lug nuts on the front that turned maybe 2 turns. Not good. Made it home, but can’t drive it. We don’t know what to do. Many factors to it. Not factory rims. 16 inch now 18 inch Dick Cepek wheels. Any ideas as how/what to do?

So the lug nutts weren’t tightened down all the way? What did it damage?

Who remembers when Ford’s tires where coming apart and going flat on all their new vehicles?

Didn't Ford blame Firestone and vise-versa? Seems to ring a bell.

It almost happened to my neighbors. Tire blew coming down the Cajon Pass. They rolled and nearly died. They spent weeks in a hospital.
That's exactly what the bastards did. Took them years to be fully compensated.

P.S. I met Dick Cepek when I was a wee lad. Great man! Too bad his son ruined the business.
