Help with misfire. Im new to 4runners. Is this worth fixing? How much $?

    You didn’t get a quote with that?

    There’s also no word on the cause of the misfire. I would say more troubleshooting and professional opinions are required.

    There’s also the question of how attached you are to that car. If it’s a beater, no point spending that probably.

    Was looking at pricing doing it myself. Very unfamiliar with anything other than an inline 4 (miata and motorcycles)

    If its the 4.0 v6, we just had this conversation yesterday.
    Typically people run them forever on the OEM spark plugs, something always kills #6 spark plug, which then takes out the coil.
    Most likely you, as with practically every one i ever see, still has the OEM spark plugs at whatever the current mileage is, 180,000+ i would guess.
    I did a little research a while back wondering why #6 was always the one that dies but wasnt able to come up with any real conclusive evidence. If it still has the OEM spark plugs you should see that the driver side is a different brand from the passengers side. Real weird tidbit there, i also hard to find conclusive evidence on why Toyota did that. Drivers side is NGK and passengers side is Denso.
