Hope I don’t notice at all but I could always have a shop put the Pro side exit on the stock muffler. I have options.

After approx 8 months and 5000km the same thing that happened to my old 2021 4R has started happening to my 2024 4R. The hood scoop moves enough that it started rubbing the paint off the hood on the sides. So this time I ordered new gaskets and instead of applying them to the scoop, I applied them to the hood instead. That way when the scoop moves it rubs against the gasket instead of gasket rubbing against the paint on the hood.

Testing identified the culprit. Process of elimination.
Ditch lights both OK, turns out one of two pre-made Deutsch wire leads coming off the harnesses factory Y-split has failed. Not a terrible outcome, I’ll repair it. Better than having to exchange the ditch light I foolishly mounted perfect before testing :D

No hack, it's a standard Toyota feature. The door unlocks when you touch the handle, as expected. Restarting it upon entry is no big deal.

Frost most mornings these days, but mid-teens in the afternoons. So, typical nice Spring weather.

I understand the auto feature, my key fob does it
Just hate that I have to shut it down to restart upon unlocking

actually watched a video bout pros n cons of cold starting vs letting it heat up without the cars fluids being able to flow

Did my own mod to use the puddle lights as rock lights. Switch it off to return it back into auto mode. Didn't want to spend over $60 just to add a switch. Also, wanted to use my own switch.

    For a mod I didn't know I wanted/needed - I was about to hit buy -- then got disappointed it doesn't support 2022+
    https://mesocustoms.com/products/4runner-puddle-switch-kit

but then I see it is supported??
    https://www.4runnerlifestyle.com/co...nner-puddle-switch-kit?variant=43762551652597

some sort of PIN in the connector swap?
    https://www.4runners.com/threads/meso-puddle-pod-switch-kit-on-a-2022.27526/#post-383216

    maybe I have to DIY?

I love it! It looks great and the speakers sound great! I highly recommend them. No complaints so far.

I love the head unit. It’s awesome and other 5th gen on the road always look over when they see it. No I did not add an amp to the speakers. I did not have too!

Any change in airflow from the vents that move from above to below the head unit?

I just find the correct pin for the puddle light and wire other lights to it. Just took the time to test each pin with a test light. The switch supplies 12V (un-switched) to the puddle lights when it is switched on.

It’s one that goes inside the cigarette lighter that I don’t use. I also added a coiled charging cable to keep it neat.

I didn’t want it up higher where it can block the air vents then have a dangling charging cord.

Yes, I like this set up.

I got my ARB Safari Snorkel installed today. Took about 4 hours between washing and clay baring the fender and A-Pilar area, putting two coats of paint on newly exposed metal surfaces, and letting the Loctite set on the studs. I didn’t drill into the A-Pilar and instead used some 3M VHB tape. One of the more nerve racking upgrades I have completed on the rig but I like how it turned. Air flows come out just fine for me. It does sit and harder to direct the airflow but in all honesty air still comes out and works just fine for me with either the A/C or heat.
