The power is run to the back where you have the DC to DC Conveter. And it raised voltage to 24 volts? But that's not really necessary is it? Or is it necessary for the ecoflow to charge at higher Wattage? (Because solar pannels would be 24 or 48 volts...or something)

Watch this video.... he's much smarter than I am.

In a nutshell, it allows you to get roughly 400 watts of input feeding into your portable power station via the solar input plug.

The Eco flow river pro 2 has an internal limit of 200 and something watts....so it only charges at that rate.

Just checked the specs of the Delta 2. It can only charge from that solar port at 8 amps max. So twice the volts gets twice the watts. Its 500 watt max on that port.

I did check out that video when I was first looking into charging my ecoflow.

500 bucks now for a delta 2. Used to be 1k. Now the delta 2 max (twice capacity) is $1k. Daaaaaaang.

@Tacoma2TRX was wondering if you found a solution to your Ecoflow issue?

Hey - yea things have been crazy at work so haven't had time to check back in here. So I did get the issue resolved:

    1. Needed to update firmware for the 800w alternator charger
    2. Bought a new battery
    3. KEY: Changed the alternator charger settings in the app to have the "Start Voltage" set at 15V, that way the unit doesn't kick on automatically. Which I suspect is why it drained the battery to begin with. So now whenever I go to use it, I just have to manually lower the start voltage to allow it to kick on.

Moral of the story, update your firmware, set the "start voltage" to something higher than 14v when the unit is not in use. Lesson learned on my end.

I've since got my IceCo fridge hooked up with solar and the EcoFlow Delta 3 Plus running tied in to the 800W alternator charger. It's all working now, which is good because I'm headed to Baja next month. :bananadance:

Thanks for the update, glad you were able to resolve the issues. I still have a bit of a learning curve/impatience with it. I ran the unit down to zero this weekend while camping, when I would turn the unit on it would light up then shut down after a few seconds. The solution was to start engine let the alternator charger run thru its process and start sending a charge to the unit, then turn it on. All was good and my beverages stayed cold!

Have a great trip to Baja.
