I am sorry for the post above.....The CON I put is incorrect
I pressed the star on the unit itself and was able to change setting, therefore you can manually press buttons to change settings or use BT ib your phone.....LOL

The hook tool did the trick for me. Earlier someone described the accelerator as a sponge, which is a good description. Coming from a Lexus GS, I had to try the Pedal Commander to get a better feel in the accelerator.

I started with City +2 as someone else recommended... instant improvement. Next I'll be monitoring my gas mileage. I average 20.0 miles per gallon on my 100 mile daily commute. Hopefully it doesn't decline too much.

So far my MPG with the Pedal Commander is essentially unchanged at 19.8. For the first 1,000 miles, it actually improved to 21.0 driving in City +1 to +3. The responsiveness of the accelerator is totally worth the price.

I’m interested in getting one of these, but I was wondering if anyone knows if you can have the stock settings changed with a programmer. BTW, my Tundra has a Tow button that changes the throttle response and shift points. I remember the first time I pressed it while not towing was my HOLY COW moment. I always ask fellow Tundra owners at gas station if they ever tried it and sadly most say they have never even touched it. I call it putting it in beast mode. So I can understand why others like this pedal controller so much.

Never heard of a programmer or tune for the 4 except with the supercharger...The 4 has "S" mode that is used for towing. I drive normally in "S" mode a lot because I like the shift points better than drive. The PC does nothing for power, it doesn't increase it at all. The PC is a mind trick, it is only perceived as more powerful because it basically presses the accelerator down farther. This is why mileage usually suffers a tiny bit. So you can do the same thing the PC does and save $300 by pressing the accelerator down farther than you do now.

Looks great , I have been looking for a tuner since i bought my 2015 TRD two years ago ?? I see some cheap chinese ones on ebay for 40.00 bucks ? you know thats a waist of money . I see Bully Dog offers one for 485.00 bucks but know one has reviewed it yet to see if its worth the money ? Dose anyone recommend any other worth while tuners out there ???

Thats cool and I'm glad its working for you. I have $300 in my pocket and can easily duplicate what the PC does.

Seems like Tory and Wally like to talk about their $300 dollars quite a bit. Reminds me of the really cool people that always know everything but have no real experience with anything.

Hey, it's true: I still have no love for throttle controllers, but I understand that everyone's desire to modify their cars is different. I myself have a few mods that others would find pointless. Command your pedal to your heart's content.

I had a new Pedal Comander sitting on the shelf for 7 months, never installed. I finally realized I had no issues with the way my 4R accelerates, so I put it up for sale new in box. It sold within hours, IIRC.

I drive like an old grampa anyway, nothing lost. Different strokes, as they say. I didn't care one way or the other about the $300 gained or spent, I just didn't feel the need for the PC.

City +2 is the sweet spot for me. This is probably the best mod for my 4Runner hands down. Well the headlights suck too but I just replaced those. The PC was worth every single penny.

Hello newbie here, So my mom just bought a 2012 SR5 today it's basically stock/base cloth seats and what have you. She's had a 99 Suburban, an 05 Sienna and an 07 Ridgeline before this anyways this PC looks interesting but I really don't know if it will benefit her much for mainly city driving and highway driving up to the cabin. I mean it seems like it makes it so that when you press on the gas that it get's up and goes easier or faster? I'm not much of a car guy so I probably am not using the right words. Anyways It sounds like these are highly recommended but for someone who isn't really off-roading and mainly staying to city/highway driving and occasionally towing a boat or smaller trailer would this benefit her much.

    Thanks

Pictures in this post, I took the pictures yesterday before car was detailed. It's been raining rather steadily and has been all morning so haven't gotten to take any more pictures.

Just installed the PC. I'd say it was worth the money spent. Throttle response is spot on for the way I drive. Came from an older Tundra where it used an old fashioned throttle cable. If you really want to see where it helps, pull up to a square edged curb on a dead stop. See how much throttle it takes to get up that curb with stock setting. Then try it in a setting with PC. It will kind of simulate offroading/rock crawling. Much less throttle input and more controllable in my opinion. Others may argue.

Sold it. Went with Pedal Box instead. Made in Germany and not China. Buddy of mine is the US distributor for Pedal Box. Look into them. Great product!

Nice. I like this spot. Little more hidden, yet useable. I was thinking initially on the little flat area below the drivers side vent to the left of the steering wheel.

Got ya. I thought of that until I thought about wanting to change it on the fly in the car without having to use my phone. Probably doesn't matter really. Thanks for the input.

My thinking is that it shouldn’t be changed while moving, so shove it back and change it via phone when stopped.

I just got mine and I'm quite happy with it already. Drove locally around for an hour trying every mode and mixing them up a bit all the while leaning on the pedal quite a bit to get a feel. My mileage only dropped .1 so I'm already impressed. Works as advertised. I just get right up to speed then cruise it out instead of struggling to get there & wasting gas lol.

I also have no problem with the bluetooth between switching modes or steps. I got mine black Friday sale from the mfg $250. It doesn't get any simpler to install, well worth it.
