I have been a customer of us rally stripes several times in the past for decal kits. I am passing this along as something clearly has changed with their company. In fairness, never had an issue prior.

While I can cut and paste the entire email correspondence, I will say that I will no longer purchase anything from them and caution others.

This is not a bash thread, I moderate another forum and we don't allow pure bashing, but public service announcement to help the next guy is what I am after here.

On another note, what outfit do you recommend for window decals? As a retired Marine, I always had the flag on the rear windows of my other 4R's, and need a new one for my current 2016.

    Thanks

Sorry but this is pointless if we don't know the story. He said she said without proof.

Bash away if they deserve it.

A quick Google search turns up quite a few possibilities.

That is your opinion, your entitled to it. I disagree. I don't need to provide "proof" to politely give a courtesy heads up to fellow 4runner owners. I am a man of integrity. And bashing is not necessary. If someone is that inclined to purchase from them, while their are many alternatives, they can PM me and I'd share more.

My post was to be helpful, I don't care to argue with you.

100% bashing is not necessary and your offer to explain in PM kind of negates my response below, but...

Without any context, it is just bashing.

Most would trust you felt wronged or whatever. But some kind of understanding is helpful because people have a wide range defining "issue" and wiled imaginations of what could or did go wrong.

Ether way thanks for the heads up.

I'm not arguing just hard to believe one sided stories thats it. I'll always side with members with proof.

There has been others posting about vendors but when they post the proof more truth comes out. But you do what you want.

That's a fair perspective. Basically, the decal was installed correctly, and didn't adhere, then tore, peeled up what did initially adhere and was just a mess. After emailing CS, responses were 4 days apart, and full of inconsistencies, aka lies. Provided all what was asked of me, and the story kept changing from "were sending you a replacement no questions asked/questions asked/photos requested" and on and on. Then snarky replies and more lies.

I remained professional and provided all the info requested, with no remedy. I simply wanted to make others aware of my experience. Again, bashing to me is a personal vendetta that goes past precise truth due to personal feelings getting involved. Maybe my definition is different than others.

Thank you for the detailed response, much respect. Hopefully they will change.

That said i haven't purchased stickers other than from Amazon. But i have had great experience buying other items from Etsy.

    I gotcha.

There is a fine line between giving others a heads up, done respectfully, and a long winded dissertation with "proof". For $60, my time is worth more than that, and again, I don't need to justify my stance. Hell, folks can buy as many decals as they want from them, I was simply trying to help, not put myself, my integrity and moral code up for debate.

I'm gonna bow out of this, as it's getting silly.

Happy with my rear window flag from GW Walsh. I believe they're based in AZ.

Maybe it’s a sign that you don’t need decals?

Just a viewpoint on bashing. Reporting and describing a problem on a forum of potential buyers isn't bashing. Continuing to pile on in an attempt to make them feel your pain and get others on your side is bashing. You haven't bashed them here as I see it, you simply reported.

None. I don't have flag decals.
