One of the few things I'm disappointed about with respect to my 2019 Limited 4Runner is that I am not able to use my list of phone contacts that are loaded in an app on my phone. I did load my contacts to the 4Runner but all I am able to do is call them. There *should* be a navigation prompt there as well.

My Mazda CX-5 works seamlessly with my list of contacts via Google Maps. All I have to do is access a contact re: the application I have on my phone, click the icon for navigation and away I go. Is there any workaround for entering physical data from the phone via Bluetooth and in order to navigation media system? I do not like the fact that I have to physically enter addresses in order to navigate.

Navigation in general isn't the best in my opinion. Phone works as good or better than 4R.

Yes....My friend has a 2019 Avalon and grumps about the same thing. You don't suppose someone has cracked into the media module so that a person is able to Bluetooth over to the speaker system commands from Google Maps via the phone? Magically thinking I know.

Add their addresses in the navigation feature in Entune and use that. Remember that Toyota likes things that work, not just jam a bunch of shit into a system to satisfy the masses.

I am customer not part of some masses. It appears that the only way to enter addresses or way points is to physically enter the data. Who want the pleasurable experience of doing that if say for example your customer base (or some other Group) runs into the hundreds? Please enlighten me. How would you proceed using Entune? Thanks.

That's correct you have to actually do some work. But, I know work is terrible. Why not just feed me as I sit on my ass and complain about first world problems.

Sorry, I would not know. I do not watch movies. I believe Toyota is thinking of safety.
The death penalty should be applied to people that play with their phone while driving.

Sorry... just trying to keep it light... I guess I'll be serious now... An 11 year daughter of a very good friend of mine was killed by a woman that decided she needed to text while she was driving.! I believe there should be some very stiff penalties for texting and driving but the death penalty seems a little extreme.

Sorry, I did not get it. I really don't watch that many movies. I don't have children, so those types are definitely out.

matter fact for nav if you try to speak to the head unit to get navigation or find a spot it sucks big time

sorry to say Entune is useless in my opinion does not work properly there are multi threads about it i gave up on it
your phone works much faster and better for navigation if you connect it with blue tooth to the head unit it will guide you through the speakers it works great.

Don't disagree but keep in mind you'll probably be using your phones data doing this, may be an issue for some peoples plans. At least with the on board nav you avoid that.
