    Taking forever…
While we’re waiting I’m gonna read @djwantke ’s build list

side note: How has it been being modular?
This may be your 1st bumper but do you think it’s making it easier/harder? Excited for you bud!

Lifted the old 4runner. Westcott lift and some 275/60/20. Spot on for what I was looking to do.

Appreciate the excitement, unfortunately I ran into a little snafu…got the wrong swing arm  (supposed to be passenger side but somehow got drivers side) so this part will be sidelined for a bit. Hopefully when Photon goes in for her suspension work I can swing by Dissent and swap arms since they’re about 15 mins up the highway from Stellar…

*Note to self, remember to have the shop folks toss in about 150 lbs of ballast when they go to level her out.

In the meantime I took Photon for a little drive to this new taqueria that opened recently…good eats!

Sorry I didn’t answer your question earlier!

I really like that this bumper is a two piece shell, at least for me as it made the installation process so much easier.

As for aesthetics, others may prefer not to have a seam along the center but I really don’t mind it and the way the joint is done really makes the entire assembly work like a one piece design, and in my opinion, just as strong. There’s another point but I’ll reserve that for my build thread…

Best I can tell, this bumper only sticks out maybe another inch, two at most compared to a factory bumper shell…it makes for a nicer sitting spot!

Thanks. I like them, they work great.

And yes, only changed the speakers. Crutchfield includes the brackets and wire harness’s. Here is a picture of the speakers box. Brackets and wires each come in their own separate bags that will be in the box they ship it all in.

I installed an LED light strip today, man I really like the lighted engine bay. When the hood switch is off due to the hood being down, the green light is also off. The green light lights up when the hood is up. At first when I was trying to pry off the clips holding the hood installation it started to get damage even with the proper tool. So I used one of those wall magnet fishing strings to make it easier. I didn't want to drill into any metal for this job, so I used all existing holes under the front plastic guard.

In preparation for fishing season, tried a new approach to hold rods mid cabin. the aft mounts are on a ceiling molle and work fine.

Old method was a clumsy Velcro bungie thing.

now trying modified rod holders mounted to the passenger door roof handles. Initial tests are solid, this may work.

Yeah, enjoy the rain. These shots are from FB that a drone took over Hwy 61 (running out of Memphis into Desoto Co., MS). Granted the land the highway is the Mississippi Delta (flat alluvial plain), these field turned into lakes quite literally overnight.

Here's the link for the drone footage: 488758471_23887111420873854_4947477892872901934_n.jpg

Here in central Arizona, our "winter" (we had almost 5" of snow this winter) ended earlier this week and near 90* summer weather starts later this week. The seasons change quickly in the desert around here...

...^^^... Than you for that info. Hummm, adding an amp is a possibility ?? Was it difficult and what type did you install?

I am pretty good with wiring (used to build HealthKits as a kid) but am somewhat hesitant to cut into or tap the 4Runners electrical system.

    Oooh look, another mod.....

I paid someone to do it all for me. I posted about it in another thread. To summarize: I went to my local Best Buy and paid them a small fee to install it all. Knock 'em if you want to, but those guys did an excellent job. It was also pretty cheap!

The installers at Best Buy mounted the amp under the front passenger seat. I had the system installed for about a month without the amp. It sounded really good compared to the stock speakers. After I installed the amp... HOLY CRAP the volume/bass/highs crank up a lot. It was money well spent.

Got over 16mpg driving in the rain yesterday coming back from Arkansas. From Tuesday to Saturday, there were at least 5 tornado warnings. Came back to record flooding in Frankfort. The water treatment plant is underwater and says they have a 4-day supply. Hope I don't have to make the wife poop in the backyard.
