I am sure it would, but being 14 years old, the lights were already changed from 10-13 to 2014+ and that's all I am willing to spend on them. The lug nuts maybe I will down the road.

Drove to the local dealership while I was back in town visiting. Tried to find the original engine air filter (p/n 17801- 38051) but that’s been now superseded by the thinner variant (suffix something like a ‘SKKX’).

    IMG_3930.jpg

The dealership happened to have one 6th gen ‘Sport’ on the floor so I had a close look at it. Seats felt a bit higher placed in the cabin than my 5th gen, and yeah, those back seats do not fold flat like I thought based upon just pics and vids seen awhile ago.
    IMG_3925.jpg
You want to add a second battery? In the engine bay? Fuggetaboutit. Well maybe something like the size of a motorcycle battery as that’s about the largest space I saw under the hood. And two fuse/relay boxes instead of one like in our 5Gs, each one about 3/4 the size of ours. Toyota switched from Panasonic to Yuasa for the starter battery (80 AHr)

Interesting is the location of the air intake, it’s that foam seal lined spot left of the radiator cover plate.
    IMG_3927.jpg
Sorry but I’m not impressed and Photon has nothing to worry about, I’m not changing over (especially after hearing that turbo 4-banger)

I literally have a physical dry heaving reaction when I hear 4 cyl and 4runner in the same sentence.

    Oooh look, another mod.....
You would have hated the 1st, 2nd & 3rd Gen's then. They all came with 4cylinder engines as standard equipment. A lot of people opt'd for the V6 though.

My baby 4R said goodbye to the mama 4R (my 1999). I decided to give my old 4R to my stepmom. Her car died and she needed one. And my old one was barely being driven after I got the new one.

    :(

I washed my 4Runner this morning so I could count the hail dents it received last night.

ugh, Sorry to hear. In a pinch, a large comforter helps buffer the impact some.

Mine got hit with a hail storm when I had 1200 miles on it. I was sick. Did some research and found a guy who does PDR- paint less dent repair. Paid the deductible and it looks perfect. Not a mark is visible. And ther were a lot of dents. Good luck man.

I've found about 8 dings. We have been here since 1999 and it's the first time we have had hail.

I refreshed my power steering ATF. I suctioned out the reservoir then refilled. Drove a little turning the wheel. Then repeated for 2nd refresh. Now good till next time.

The insurance adjuster that came out had a tool that changed the natural light pattern so he could see the dents. He found a bunch more than I could see. Then the shop used lighting and their expertise and found even more. There was no pushback from the insurance company either. I got the impression they knew the procedure and that the initial adjuster’s findings would change in the shop environment.

I have been debating about having it fixed myself or making a claim. I think I'll take it to a body shop in the morning and get an estimate.

Cruised in to town yesterday to pick up a group 34 battery for my TJ.
    It's a X2, AGM, with brass posts and a 48 month warranty.
The battery it replaced was a Sears Platinum AGM, that was 14 years old.
Also got gas at Costco @ $2.99/gal.

^^^ I thought the AGM style batteries required more volts than our stock alternators produce?
