What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

I did my first road trip. About 400ish miles round trip to see my brother. Observations:

• I was very pleasantly surprised by the fuel economy. I averaged 21.5mpg both ways
• It was a very comfortable for long distance. Adaptive cruise control is awesome!
• I want more lift on the front of the driver seat. I've ordered seat jackers.

Hole…antenna coax down through grommet to THE grommet…
GhostHole + gerrosss hole…hidden hole is on the inner side of the recession for console mounting point where the antenna passes thru…nastie guy is the power n rj45 extension pass thru…
Turned the “original TSO during group buy/prototype phase” olive faded pro grill back to black
N thus…it was time

I haven't noticed a glare on the matte black cover so far, granted I never noticed it with the factory silver one either (20% tint all around)

 

If the OEM would be at the same angle, it would have been a lot more glare.

This is all the glare I could possibly muster up!

 

Roof rack/platform went on today, a lot of parts, but well made. Camping season is coming up

 

I might get some shit for this but I installed the TRD intake today. You can only really tell a difference when you get into the higher rpms. I do like the extra vroom vroom sound but I’m not sure if it’s $300 worth

 

picked up my toddlers from preschool in the runner w/ the ol’ ball & chain.
wife approves, for the first time in history, of my recent lift, uca’s, & alignment.
dropped her off and the boys went to dads butcher shop. the lady gave them a little chocolate heart, & they devoured house pepperoni sticks.

We made short work of it. Switched to a taco salad bowl to use everything up

 

Took Photon in for her 50K service. Love seeing all those zeros on the work order.



My two year service contract ends later this year and my service rep said I can move up the subsequent service schedule to fit in the major (all fluids including xfer case, both diffs and transmission) 60K before my contract ends…which will save me a good chunk of change!

 

i never took advantage of the 2 yr service, didnt trust them

 

We just finished up Bike Week here in Daytona. Still have a few weeks of "cooler" weather left. Maybe we should have that 4Runner get together?

Rotated the tires and replaced the engine Air filter with a Wix

 

First timer here, upgraded wheels and tires and changed out the roof rack today. I would like to do the power folding mirrors next but there seems to be a lot of issues with the BSM and 360 birds eye view when its installed on 2021 and newer 4runners.

 

Duuuuuuuuuuude, that looks SUHWEET!

 

I really like the Sport, I don't know why they weren't offered with a sunroof. Great looking truck.

 

That gray body / gunmetal wheel combo looks great!

 

Thank you, I like it much more then the 20" wheels.

 

I guess Canadian versions have moon roofs and heated steering wheels stock.

 

It's a bad photo, this weekend ill take my real camera out and shoot some photos. Its Army Green and the wheels are bronze (40th Anniversary).
