I've reluctantly agreed to cut back on my alcohol consumption to please my spouse. I cut way back to almost zero my daily beer intake, only when I camp with the boys. Nightly I have 2-3 shots of whiskey with Italian Sparkling Water from Costco. A mini buzz is still a good buzz.

I have a bottle, I wouldn’t buy it again. It’s not worth the cost and the flavor profile is just used barrel. Just get a good blended bourbon and save $150-$200.

That's fucking baller right there. I used to be a huge MacCallan fan when I couldn't really afford it - the 18 year was my favorite but have never tried anything older or more expensive.

I've become an Islay fan now. Laphoraig was one of the only ones I knew of (which seems to have gotten expensive, I thought it used to be cheaper). My favorite right now is the Nick Offerman edition Lagavulin.

Tonight is just beer though

 

18 is the oldest and most expensive I've had. It gets too rediculous too quickly.

No idea. Stopped buying it when it hit 450 at the local liquor store. Im guessing its probably less now since demand got pretty high during covid.

Omg. I just checked. You can get it online from 300 to 330 for a couple different 18's.

Wow. So the pic i posted is a few years old. My buddy informed me you could have alcohol delivered and I went ham. I tried to make the 18 and the Classic Cut last more than a couple months.

Wow. 300 is a good price

Edit: according to the CPI calculator that's like $265 in 2022. Great price.

 

My local shop has a 15 DC for $162. Never had it, but they say its really good.
