Put the rear cargo area to work! Winter time so it’s not loaded down with gear at the moment!

Drain and fill transmission. Was a tad overfilled from the last time. Drained 4 qts, filled 4.5qts, set level and 1 qt came out.

Went on a little trail ride this morning after the storm blanketed the area under 6” of fresh snow. At 50% tread life the M.T. Baja Boss ATs did what they do best and I had a blast bombing through some 1’-2’ snowdrifts.

2014 Neglected by the previous owners 2020 is an abused former rental... 2023 New I've been buying above my pay grade ☹️
I'm getting a $57,126.93 check for my former 2023 Off-Road Premium from the insurance company.

My low fuel light always turned on with 5 gallons left, BTW.

Yup. It’s not a spring tool. I just improvised since my spring compressor wouldn’t fit these coils.

I can support this opinion, as well. I appreciate the H9 and LED's both for different reasons. My hang up lies in the fact that the LED's are just a marginal improvement. And there's something to be said for the color temp and reach of the H9's. Honestly, it's kind of a wash in my mind.

The LED's are an improvement over the H11 halogens. But they're not a giant leap over the H9's. Would I pay five hundred bucks to go from H9 to OEM led? Not a chance.

I'm not arguing with ya. Just kinda thinking out loud.

Yesterday I got my dealer 2nd "free" maintenance @3000 miles and 1 year. Inspection, oil and rotate. Since I'm retired and don't commute to work anymore, I went from 20K miles/year to 3K.

    I just passed 1800 miles.

I got a call from my assigned service advisor at the dealership to schedule my 6-month service. Not sure what they do at 6 months but I’ll find out when I call her back.

And from all the posts here, I see that the consensus is to stay away from the dealer services. Or check their work thoroughly after.

my wifes Mazda CX5 had H11 halogens low beam and 9005 for highs. Horrible even with the brightest Sylvania’s I could find. Swapped them out for 100 watt Lasfit LA Air series LEDs with 10000 lumens and 6000K color. Holy mother of god it is legit 100xs better.

low beams are crisp and reach out far and yes, they are set to the appropriate height. The high beams are no joke as well. Sooo bright and perfect for those dark back roads.

Worth looking into for H11 halogen replacement.

Seeing those blocks popped a childhood memory of a friend’s garage. His father was a mechanic and had a wall of cut oil and grease soaked blocks that he used for cribbing when working on his cars. Back then I was like “that’s pretty cool you can use wood like that!”, today I’m still that way just a bit more cautious (wiser?)

Same here. I don't typically do that but two hours into the job and one coilover disassembly later I realized the spring compressor that worked to remove the old springs would not work with the new springs.
Used the press, a couple large top hat spacers and two blocks of wood to get that nut started.

Once that top nut was started I installed them in the vehicle, jacked the wheel up by the UCA and tightened to spec.
I wasn't about to give up half way through the job. It looked sketchy, but it was actually pretty solid.
Regardless, my friend and I were singing the appropriate song.
