Since they let me use one Cert for the Toyo Open Country RT Trail(I had to pay the difference), I have no used 4 certs on these tires. I had 2 that the tread blocks separated, 1 I sliced open on a rock and now 1 with the screw. Definitely got my monies worth with the certificates. I wanted to try a more aggressive tire since this isn't my DD anymore.

This is my weekly flex of how bad ass the state of Texas is and how much I can save on gas thanks to Kroger reward points:

I saved $29.31 with my rewards. I ran the SloRunner practically out of gas so it took 23 gallons.

Kroger gas at $1.00 off per gallon keeps my 4runner full of gas. How did you get $1.25 off? - I thought $1.00 was the max discount. I do my Kroger shopping on Fridays and get 4 times the fuel points.

23.4 gallons in a 23 gallon tank? Were you running on fumes?

I sure was. It was like that Seinfeld episode, when Kramer test drives the car and doesn't stop when the gas light comes on. For the record, when the gas light in the 4Runner comes on, there is AT LEAST 2.5 gallons left in the tank.

I'm curious to know why. I've been running H9's since I bought my 4R and I'm planning on getting some OEM LED's because they seem so much brighter. What don't you like about them?

I went to Costco to get the Bridgestone Dueler Ascent A/T tires installed. There isn’t a noticeable road noise and it rides smooth on the freeway.

Finished up wiring for scene lights. I used the Harbor Freight RoadShock rock lights on an Etsy mount made for the Sherpa rack, 18ga wiring, relay and Toyota OE style switch. I am swapping the 'rear' switch to 'side lights'. I also re-wired the raptor lights to relay and OE style switch, simply to have the ability to turn them off if I need blackout mode.

The higher color temp of the LED's doesn't show contrast as well as the H9's. And the cutoff is super sharp. So above the cutoff is just pitch black. You see absolutely nothing. So to my eye, the H9's have better reach, even though maybe less bright on paper.

With a little less 6000k bright white light immediately in front of the vehicle, the H9's seem to allow for a little more distance viewing. Hard to explain. The difference is subtle but there.
