that’s one of the contenders. We’ve visited a few times and looked at houses to buy.

But OMG, the humidity and tornadoes/flooding scare me. Talk about sweating right after you get out of the shower.

edited to add: not fond of the hurricanes either.

No worries. You've got a 4Runner. So you can escape anything. Tornadoes aren't really a thing. And hurricanes give you plenty of lead time to prep or bug out. It's the heat and humidity that takes getting used to.

    Good luck!

@Charlievee Thank-you for this good sir.
I like that a lot. The Canadian Peso price for 2K Raptor Liner is steep but surely you get what you pay for. (Walmart $93, eBay $74, Amazon $209 for 2)

I’ve been sick, but I just mocked up my valance for first time now that it’s black. I’m pleased even with the Flat Black Primer. No more Toyota silver.

I forget if it was here that someone posted up about the Harbor Freight plastic 30 cal boxes. I was shopping for a sputtering gun (currently renovating a utility room into living space) and picked one of these boxes up for $4.00

It fits perfectly (I may add some magnets for extra security) and also clears the cargo cover too!

That's one hell of a mark up for the 2K. 35 bucks down here.

I seem to recall that the Raptor liner 2K in spray cans are not compliant with Canadian laws so whoever is selling them is grey market hence they're so expensive up here.

If you move to Florida, or even visit that God-for-saken state, familiarize yourself with this phrase: Swamp Ass.

...because you WILL get it if you go to that state. Everyone gets it.

I can get up to $1.25 off a gallon. Here's how: I use my Kroger Mastercard to pay for my groceries. It works anywhere, but I only use it for buying groceries. When I use it, it gives me another .25 cents off a gallon of gas. That gets added to however many fuel points I have. WaaLaa....$1.25 off.

I was getting $1.55 off, because when I first got the Kroger Mastercard they had a limited 1yr offer of .55 cents off a gallon of gas (in addition to my fuel points). That was really awesome. The max rate is different from region to region. Some states cap it at $1, others let you go beyond that.

Yes, however.......we are not as bad as Florida. They have flying cockroaches also! They call 'em "Palmetto Bugs", but it's a lie..they are flying cockroaches.

Not today, but yesterday took it to the stealership for an oil change and tire rotation. What they normally charge is almost $150 for those service cost me a little more than half that. Gotta love coupons.

And today, staying inside as much as possible awaiting the arrival of Satan's Sky Cocaine in north Missi'ppi.

I hate winter. There. I said it.

Give me 90 degree weather and 100% humidity any day vs. this sh*t.

We were eating pizza in a little pizzeria in SC last week. We were at the bar and had a view of the guy making the pizza. I watched a cockroach run up the wall. He shook his head and grabbed a towel and grabbed it. The manager saw it and made him wash his hands. 5 minutes later 2 more cockroaches ran up the wall. The barmaid said they just had the pizzeria sprayed for bugs a couple days prior.
