This is a screen grab of some steps on a 2014 I think. I've never liked that space between the step and the lower door.

My buddy with a 2008, the OEM running board sits flush up against the body.

Can someone tell me if the most recent version of the OEM running boards (2018+) have a gap or is it flush?

I would recommend sliders instead but if the gap bugs, maybe sliders would not be the way to go

Practically speaking, I just don't need sliders. Can't justify the added cost.

True, I get you. If you dont plan on off roading, then no need. But they are fairly inexpensive than some "OEM Running Board" so if you ever get in the market, I would just double check all avenues

I hear ya. Yeah the OEM boards are expensive. The Nfabs seem like a good compromise. Seems like with discounts/sales a guy might be able to pick them up for $300.

the gap is because of the mounting brackets not the running boards, i don't knew if you can change the brackets or not i bought the TRD Pro tubler running boards and there was a little wiggle room to adjust them in or out but not up and down, so if the gap is due to height you need new brackets
