I wouldn't mind a sun visor that slides out on the rail rather than the stupid little plastic slide out.

Other than that I've been pretty happy

Right, because sun/moonroofs are the reason why 4runners command such resale values on the used market. LOL.

Right, because people are walking away from clean 1st-3rd gens with low miles due to lack of sunroofs.

Show me where the cheap sunroof-less 5th gens are since you are so smart.

    Oooh look, another mod.....

I saw a car once, and I cannot for the life of me remember what it was, but the visor was on rails and it would slide to the right AND had a yellow see-through visor that would slide up/down. It was built into the visor and hidden when not in use. It wasn't one of those snap-on flip ups.

It was one of the coolest things I've ever seen in a vehicle.

33s from the factory. 6spd manual, and I'd love if Toyota came up with a front torsion diff like Ford has on the Raptor. Another 100hp wouldn't be bad either.

We've had my wife's CRV since 09 when we bought it new. Its a very nice car, lots of bells and whistles.

Apparently it spoiled me far more than I knew. What I'm really missing in my new '24 4runner is the climate control. At this point, I'd be happy for a single zone.

You can get a great breeze in the 4Runner by opening the driver window completely and the passenger window halfway. Leave the rear passenger windows up. You can also roll down the rear window about halfway for even more airflow

I do this: I leave the sunroof open about 1/4 to 1/2 way, then crack the rear window the same. It gives me a very nice breeze and little wind/road noise.

    I don't have a moonroof. :(

But, I figured out the method I described when the AC quit on my '03. And that one had a moonroof. Now, I use the same method on the '19, and only use the AC when I have guests in the 4Runner who don't want their hair blown around. :D

What region are you in? I'm in Los Angeles and I found the same thing when I purchased a year ago. 99% of the TRD Offroads Toyota sent to the southwest areas were premiums. I wasn't a fan of the Softtex interior and definitely didn't want the sun roof. Fortunately my dealer was able to trade for an OR that had been allocated for the east coast.

We always called it three on the tree, my first truck was a 69 f100, 6cyl, 3 speed.

I remember three on the tree, and if you drove the car backwards, the miles came off! Sneaking out and cruising around in mom or dad's vehicle was doable because you could hide the evidence.

My buddy had a 67 impala, 350 with a power glide, he would floor it in reverse, drop it in drive and you would continue going backwards and burning rubber until it finally went forward again.

Back in the day at different times, I had a '63 Mercedes 220S and a Saab 96, both of which had a 4 on the tree (4sp column shift). If you had the right rhythm, they both shifted very smoothly.

I don't know if any of these were options on other trim levels but we have a '24 ORP and this is what I'd like:
    • rain-sensing wipers
    • locking gas door
    • auto on/off headlights
    • powered folding mirrors (narrow garage)

Auto on/off headlights, only option they offered. Rain sensing wipers would be great, you can add auto folding mirrors.
