I was just wondering if there is a comprehensive list of differences b/w the 2020-2024 4Runner Off Road Premiums?

Doing some research here and was shocked to find out that the Canadian 4Runner Off Road Premium had dual climate controls.

Are there any other major differences? I searched around and one thread mentioned it might have automatic head lights as well? Is there a way to swap out the guage cluster so you have it display mph vs km/h?

    Oooh look, another mod.....
I think the Canuck versions also get auto head lights? Some of our resident Canadian's will chime in soon enough to help you out.

As far as I know they don't get a premium option but their TRD gets the dual zone and auto lights plus I believe a heated wheel before the US did.

I know the gauge cluster is in KPH and they all run off Maple Syrup, oh, and when you honk the horn it doesn't beep. It goes "Aboot!"

    Thanks
Well my 2016 was a Trail Premium, I believe it was one of the last years before *TRD Off Road was widely available in Canada.

I don’t have either of those features

Canadians have just TRD Off-Road, there's no Premium trim in Canada. But I understand that all features is very close to US "Premium" version. So Canadian TRD Off-road has dual climate controls, automatic headlights with no option to turn them off manually. Built-in GPS and front/side cameras is standard too. Heated steering wheel is standard from 2023, previous years don't have it (maybe except for Limited). Speedometer is in km/h and mhp but numbers are small : ) I think setting allow you to chose F and mpg for information display but I'm not sure.

    Here's overview from Canadian dealership - 2024 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off-Road 4WD .

they did get auto headlights. Canadian laws on day time lighting is a lot more strict than the US for obvious reasons with the weather and geographic location and everything.

Canadian laws only mandate DRL. My 2010 SR5 had DRL (cannot be turned off), but lights were manual. Auto lights is a luxury feature, cheaper cars don't have it.

As of September 1st 2021, "all new vehicles must have headlights and taillights that turn themselves on at dark and dashboards that stay dark if the headlights are off"

Off Road's in Canada also all come with KDSS and sunroofs.

Can you swap out the speedometer if you bring a Canadian 4Runner to the United States so the outer ring on the speed displays mph instead of km/h.

Options that you would expect in a $50,000 plus vehicle. My wife has only driven our 23' ORP once to work when we first bought it. She cannot get over the fact that the ORP does not have remote start, auto headlamps and dual zone climate control like her 2008 Highlander did. That is why her car sits outside in the cold and the ORP is warm and cozy in the garage! I am not sure if the new 4r can be optioned with remote start but that is a great option here in Detroit.

Probably would be more hassle than it's worth. If it's a newer 4R with the updated cluster you can have the speed displayed digitally in the center in mph or kph. That's what I do when I drive in the States and I don't even look at the analog speedo.

Yes our Canadian versions are well equiped. All TRD Off Roads are pretty much premiums here. My '22 ORP has the dual climate, auto headlights and highbeams, puddle lights. KDSS. Factory remote start, moonroof and all the Toyota Safety Sense P tech. Heated seats but not the steering wheel. No JBL sound system. Given the small size of our market Toyota making more cash on well optioned trucks.
