It will be interesting to see how they sell the 6th gen in norcal. Im ready to trade in my 5th gen. will wait till 2nd or 3rd year to get all the quirks out. However, the 80k range starts peeling into Luxury SUV prices. We will see what it will be up against when that time comes.

Yea i have customized mine too, but the Technology just so early 2000's. We spent $50k+ for (ORP) for no technology in our vehicles. We honestly could have purchased an Acura MDX for that same amount with Heated/Cooling seats, HUD, 10 inch screens, 360 camera angles. However this one takes the cake. The one thing I wish I had was an electronic open/close Rear door hatch. This should have been standard since the first release in 2014. Not until 2022? is when they released it as an option.(Please correct me if i am wrong)

You been by a Toyota dealer lately?
You see how the parking lot is piling up with vehicles they cant sale?
The current state of the world, interest rates, and lack of cash as can be seen by the M1 vs M2 money supply, people are not jumping to buy cars like they were in 2021-2022.
Sure there will be 6th gens selling but i dont think dealers are going to move the $20k markup price vehicles other than to a few fanatics in uber rich areas. The vast majority of dealerships are going to be hard pressed to move them at sticker.
My local dealer is slam packed with inventory, they have more on the lot now than they did the entire year of 2021 combined. There are vehicles that have been there 200+ days, base model SR Tacoma that is going on a year old. Folks are not buying quite like they were in the past and dealers are likely going to sit on these new models if they try to get tricky and stack huge premiums on them.
Local dealer has had 3 Land Cruisers for months, the brown base model they got back in like September and its still there. They did just sell a $77k Land Cruiser premium in blue with white top, all the options including console fridge to a girl who works a very high paying job in town. I dont know the final price but the sticker was $77k, i doubt they would have sold it if it had an additional +5,000 mark up cause you are GX550 territory already and a crazy additional mark-up you have no reason not to get the nicer vehicle if you can swing the payments.

The electric rear hatch has NEVER been available on the 4Runner, not even as an option. There were two companies that made an aftermarket kit but both had problems and both were out of business within a year.
The electric rear hatch has been available on the Rav4 as early as 2013 and the Highlander as early as 2014. It makes absolutely no sense that it couldnt make it to the 4runner.

The new 6th gen 4Runner has the power liftgate as an option only on the higher trims, Limited, and Platinum as i saw. I didnt catch if it would be available on the Premium trims of the TRD Sport, TRD OffRoad, and Pro. I saw it on the Limited and Platinum though. It is definitely not on the standard lines of SR5, TRD OffRoad, or TRD Sport.

In my area the cheapest Bronco Raptor is $85K. Most expensive is $93K. In either case, that's more than I spent on my house back in 2013, and I live 1/10th of a mile from the beach.

Yes, 5th gen 4runners were in hot supply to the very end.

People buying 4Runners are willing to go to great lengths to secure financing for one. The trends for Tacos and Tundras don't always apply to 4runners.

Yeah, but when it comes to offroad vehicles. If I can buy a braptor for $74k(pretty much the most badass offroad suv available) why would I buy a 6th gen trd pro for $68k.

Guess it all comes down to personal preference and how much one is willing to spend.

Same thing happened to the Tacoma. Up until tomorrow, you could negotiate a significant discount off MSRP. Took about 8 months on the Tacoma.

Should be interesting with the Japanese made 4Runner.

You say up until tomorrow.........is that because Tacoma incentives are going away in February?

I think a lot of 4Runner owners don’t want a powered hatch. They annoy me whenever I rent a vehicle with one. It’s always too slow to open and close.
