Thanks for your long response, I do really appreciate everyone’s responses here. Yes I am doing something that is unconventional for a 4Runner as far as the 6” lift and you’re right maybe take the RTT off until I’m actually gonna go camping. We used it a lot before our business took off here in Temecula CA.

as for the tires I do have 2” spacers already so eventually 35” will be my go to since I wan researching that any bigger “requires” a re gear and other stuff.

Also the lift got me a body lift to go bigger tires without having to chop or even hammer anything out of my fenders.

That’s probably true, but it’s not for everyone, maybe for a reason but I didn’t really do it for anyone but me. I agree 6” is pretty damn out there and I’m learning that a lot of the 4Runner guys hate my idea :)

have fun correcting what’s required for such a thing. There’s usually a reason why most don’t. Hope you don’t have to start chasing problems

    ***** Update *****

I removed and replaced the ABS/Speed Sensor lines and did the Zero calibration which successfully removed the MTS light so I’m able to utilize that now.

The slip light is still on, which I’m not gonna hate on too much was just annoyed with the blinking green light.

I really appreciate everyone’s input here on my truck and regardless of your thoughts and some comments it doesn’t offend me as stated previously it is being built for me, and any negative or positive feedback is still feedback.

If you guys want to see the progress check me out

@That_4Runner on Instagram. I’ll be posting updates and responding here too once I figure out the other light.

was thinking about getting a ThinkDiag 2 to get these codes cleared and for any other issues that may arise.

next option is to replace the rear ABS wires and zero reset again.

Same here, I’m sure a lot of people who don’t do 6” bend to peer pressure too :)

That’s only because he didn’t want the drop kit on it. Not because it failed or anything. I’ll have 35” tires on it soon so I’ll get some of the ground clearance.

I also opted not to do the mounts for the shocks paid the extra couple hundred to get the shocks replaced as longer shocks.

Several ppl already mentioned off road stability with the massively increased COG, but OP also be careful during everyday driving as well. A car suddenly merging into your lane, or obstruction, pedestrian, random wheel assembly popping off a bro dozer...you name it and the sudden change in direction will cause you to roll your rig. At the minimum I'd remove the RTT to reduce weight and lower COG.

success, all lights off. Used Thinkdiag2 two to calibrate zero. The slip light was from the Crawl Control I had to re-calibrate it during test by pushing the on off button and holding. Drove the truck around and all is off. Next is the extended ABS lines.

He probably misses his time at the playground. Now he has to climb up and down every time he wants to go for a drive.

Hahahaha. You guys just love hating huh? Keyboard Trolls?

I think I answered that question previously: I got a 6” lift because it looks cool to me. I didn’t change the tires at the same time because I’m sure all of you in this chat know how much tires cost. But let’s forget about that.

I got my 35s now, the 6” helped me to not need to slam or modify the inner fender well I’m sure everyone running 2-3” lifts cannot say that, or maybe you can but again this is “your” preference.

When I originally asked for help it wasn’t about your opinions it was to get help with a light after the lift. I honestly expected this garbage from a Jeep page not a 4Runner nation but fault me for thinking we 4Runner guys were different.

I’m sire if the few of you weren’t so ignorant you’d see this person is lifting his truck to “his” liking not to yours and your judgment of that is a plain mockery of the 4Runner people as stated above this is what I expected from a Jeep forum.

Also to you that say it’s COG is jacked, what do you think a 3” with 37-38s do?

Ignore the bad apples man. It’s the internet after all.

People forget that this forum should be used for informational purposes. We poke and have fun, and there is nothing wrong with that I suppose… But someone in the future will likely have a similar problem with a similar lift kit and need info on how to fix it. So thanks for posting your solution here.

Once you mount up the 35s you should post up a picture!
