Does anyone know where to get super heavy duty rear hatch struts? I have a Gobi ladder and bought some after market struts but they struggle to lift the hatch with the ladder on.

Thanks, I had gotten some from Amazon but they didn't work after I added the gobi rack and ladder. I don't think they are this brand though. Do you have added weight on the hatch?

Gobi sent me struts. They work great with ladder.

Yeah my rack came with the widdle wadder and struts, which I shamelessly installed.

Do they not ship struts with the ladder anymore? I thought they were just a standard package since I didn't specify the ladder or struts with the rack order. That was several years ago though

Lift Support Depot. Get way heavier duty than you need. Email them, they have great support...

Thanks all, I think I will go the way of lift support depot. They are $65 but it beats banging your head on the rear hatch.

I have had my Rack about a year and a half. The ladder came with the Rack, but not the struts. After I installed the ladder and the lift gate struggled I called them and asked for guidance and they provided the struts.

I had a C4 ladder with 2 Rota pax on it, the OEM struts didn’t hold. The easy fix was using a ratcheting bar from Home Depot. I opted for that because it’s never failed and super heavy duty. Didn’t want to take a risk of the struts going out on my while I’m out and about in nature. The hatch falling and hitting you or someone can be dangerous and the ratcheting bar solved my issue. As a fail safe that's a good idea, but using that each time you want to access the rear would be a royal pain. They make struts that will lift your gate.

As the temperatures have dropped, my 6 1/2 year old stock struts have begun to show their age. Any recommendations for slightly better than stock from Lift Supports Depot? Nothing added to my tailgate.

I'm sure these work even better without the ladder
