If I was that guy, knowing my image was going to be online for perpetuity as the first purchaser of a G6, I think I would have stripped off the fanny pack before the pic was taken.

EDIT, goddamn it, beaten to it

These are not proper off-road vehicles, so they're perfect.

I hope to verify that soon with a tape measure if there is one at the auto show. I’m not sure why no reviewers can do this. How hard would it be to set the front seat in their driving position and measure the back space in every vehicle they drive.

Also, set the seat to your comfort, and try sitting behind it. I plan on doing the same once they hit dealers around here.

IIRC, I wasn't really impressed with the LC250's rear leg room. I think it'll be about the same.

46k for an SR5 with manual seats and no spare tire.

I paid that for my 23 ORP.

I chuckled at the OR trim with the manual seats at 50.6k starting price(including destination, before mandatory options you can't opt out of)

Usually when we say we want simpler off road trucks it's implied we want a simpler price too. LOL.

Okay, lets think about this and exclude the people who do the 5 wheel tire rotation. How many times in the past 3yrs have you used your spare tire? I bet the percentage of 4Runner owners (again, excluding the 5 wheel people) who actually had to use their spare is very low.

How many 4Runner drivers only commute solo so let's throw out the back seats. Most of them don't know how to use the 4WD system so let's throw the 4wd system out as well.

I would not feel comfortable going off-roading without a spare. Heck, I was pissed at Toyota for giving me a highway spare that I had to sell and bought a matching spare as soon as I bought the truck.

now it seems like the ones without a spare are not trims that are targeted for the average off roader. Still wouldn’t want to go on a road trip without a spare

Well in my 20+ years of driving I never had a flat where I needed to change it on the side of the road. And I drive/ drove a lot of miles.

I agree. If you go offroad or are about to do some hard wheelin', then yeah....you need a full sized (and matching!) spare. Hopefully you never have to use it. But it's like insurance, or a gun. You're glad you have it and pray you never never to use it.

Exactly. It’s better to have it and never have to use it, than not have it and have to use it

Can we just track these folks down and get their driving impressions?

Or…we can wait several days just to watch the same stale YouTube creators filming themselves fondling door panels, commenting on how hard the dash plastic is, and parroting driving impressions as instructed by Toyota marketing. Give me the fanny-pack couple’s unfiltered opinions for the win….

Are the Fanny pack couple each 7’ tall? Are the front seats all the way back?

The interior load floor situation looks like they forgot about the back seats and just bolted some down and called it a day. Do they tilt forward at all or is that as good as it's gonna get?

hybrid model looks a little better but they you lose a lot of interior storage space not to mention a higher load floor
