    Good afternoon all,

I just installed a 6" lift from Rough Country on my TRD Off-Road and and after driving it around i have the following items that are coming up and would love help if anyone else had the same issues:

    1) MTS (Multi-Terrain Selector) light is blinking and says it cannot go on.
    2) Slip Light is Solid On

I have the following that happened when installing to give everyone a better idea of what I am working with:

The 6" lift required me to drop the carrier, I didn't remove the carrier just put the bracket up and then cut the sub frame as directed by Rough Country directions. That being said we installed all of the kit the way that it stated.

I have since replaced the two front speed sensors as directed on another forum with nothing changing.

I did have my front drivers door lock actuator stop working at the same time which leads me to a possible fuse problem but wouldn't expect that to affect the other items listed above.

any help would be much appreciated.

I'd make sure the wires to the wheel sensor didn't get cut. Sure sounds like something to do with it.

Did you stretch a wire? You more than likely need to complete a 0 point calibration. But also junk country.

I agree but if the wires were messed up and tore wouldn't the ABS light be on?

    No guarantee with electronics.

Pull a wheel sensor and see if any new lights come on. I'm assuming no codes so reading them don't help.

Okay so update, tried the Zero Calibration. All lights went off but the Slip. Then when I go less than 5 miles an hour the MTS light comes on again.

    Oooh look, another mod.....
Okay, I'll ask the question(s) that many of us are wondering:

    1) Do you really NEED a 6 inch lift? Or do you just want to flex on the next guy in the mall parking lot?
    2) Why didn't you upgrade your tires? It looks like you went to the gym and skipped leg day, bro.

Ya lifting 6 inch is definitely going to stretch some wires, did the kit not mention anything about extended lines or anything?

None taken, your truck is your style mine is this. You’re welcome to your own opinions.

I’ll have to check other stuff out too. Nope the lights weren’t there. And the truck drives perfectly still goes into FWD high and low so it’s something electrical.

If it was a speed sensor or wiring. Abs, traction control and e-brake light would be on.

    Definitely need some 35s

didn’t mention anything about extensions. There is no hard tension on the wires.

Have the dealer run the codes they should be able to pin point the issue.

3” lift was already on there, wanted it bigger. 3” is for everyone else, figured I’d do something different. Obviously with the issues I can still drive like it’s a standard 4WD 4Runner.

i hear you, but you just increased your offroad roll over rate about 600%. Once you add taller tires, oh boy!
