That's a good idea. I may consider this although I am not opposed to running a few wires either. I like to tinker and this seems like a good project

Does anyone know if the rear cargo dimensions for the 4th gen and 5th gen are the same? I’m trying to find a rear cargo mat and there seem to be more options for the 2010-2024 models

All I can help with is the Rear Cargo Volume for the 4th gen is: 42.1 cuft and for the 5th gen is: is also 42.1 - - - I'd say go for it!

Right on! That's a great upgrade! I like that they build them in Aluminum and that they are actually thick enough to be used! Did you go full hoop or leave it flat on top?

The aluminum is what sold me! I went with full hoops for as much protection as possible from animals. There are quite a few deer in my area. I also almost hit an elk while in Colorado earlier this year so its been on my mind since that happened.

I ordered a 2003 LX470 transmission oil pan and a dipstick/tube from a 2002 LX470. I’m going to try and swap the pans on my 06 4runner with the A750E. I’ll be updating how things go here on TacomaWorld

Is there a drain or something? What's the advantage of the LX pan?! I love OEM+ updates!

The LX470 pan just has provisions built in for a dipstick to check the level, where as the stock 4Runner trans requires you to get the fluid to a certain temp to check it. I also like to use the dipstick tube with a very small funnel to fill the trans when doing a drain/refill

Nice call! "Permanent" fluid is a nice marketing campaign!

Yeah the whole sealed transmission/lifetime fluid thing is crazy to me. Im also adding a big hayden 698 cooler at the same time.

I’ll post an update here as well if you’d like. I am hoping everything comes in this week so I can try to swap it this weekend

Hey, an update...that adapter was working great but then started skipping intermittently, which had been mentioned in some of the reviews. I returned it. With that said, there are other options similarly priced. I'm back to wired for now.

Built an extension harness for my horns, relocated them, and mounted my Hayden 698 trans cooler on an Iconic Fabrication aluminum bracket. Still waiting on some supplies, but hope to swap pans and plumb the cooler up this weekend
