Curious as to what people have found to be a good retrofit kit and/or projector assembly replacement? It appears that most of the aftermarket headlight housings aren't the greatest quality. Because of this, Im leaning towards retrofitting projectors into my stock housings and possibly replacing the plastic if available. Any advice helps, thanks.

You could just put some 06-09 headlight assemblies in. They have projectors from factory. You will need to read up on this swap if you decide to do it, because it is not a straightforward swap, but it can and has been done.

Retrofit source. I haven't messed with it at all, but every time I've looked into it the experts who like playing with HID retrofits all say the same thing.

You can do the 06-09 headlight, but you'll need to replace the grill as well for an 06-09 one as well. That's never made sense to me before, you could get a really prime retrofit setup for what you would end up spending for a set of stock projector assembly's and a different stock grill. my .02

It doesn't require a new grill. Just the plastic bumper filler underneath and they're like 10 bucks each haha....there will be a slight gap but its not bad at all and most people wouldn't even see it

Really? I've never seen the new headlights paired with the older grill before. I just knew they didn't match up perfectly. You got any pics of that combo?
If this is the case it changes my mind.....

I bought some Eagle Eyes brand sport headlights off Ebay for I think under $150 for my 07 limited, pulled them apart and installed G5-R projectors with a premade bracket from lightwerkz. I couldn't be happier with them. The housing quality seems the same as OEM to me (actually better just because my old ones had broken tabs and frosty lenses). The Eagle Eyes stock projectors were garbage compared to my OEM 07 projectors but the G5-R are way better than both so it didn't matter. I'd highly recommend a cheap housing with a true retrofit, and before this I wasn't an HID nazi and wasn't interested in the job but it was almost too easy with the right bracket and HID kit, took less than 2hrs.
